FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My work is backed by 15 years of professional licensure and a decade of specialized experience in high-end event artistry. Licensed & Insured Cosmetologist: I have been a licensed professional for 15 years, ensuring that every service I provide meets the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and technical skill. Wedding & Event Specialist: For the past 9 years, I have specialized specifically in the wedding and special event industry. This experience has trained me to work efficiently in high-pressure environments while maintaining a relaxing atmosphere for my clients. Camera-Ready Artistry: My training focuses on "Soft Natural Glam" and editorial techniques. I have curated a kit that bridges the gap between influencer-favorite brands and professional stage products, specifically designed to look flawless under professional photography and indoor studio lighting. Universal Skin & Hair Training: I have extensive training in working with all skin tones, textures, and ages. Whether I am performing a signature 3-step skin prep or a complex boho hair design, my education allows me to tailor every product and technique to the individual needs of the person in my chair.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My journey in the beauty industry began 15 years ago when I first became a licensed Cosmetologist. While I started with a broad foundation in beauty, I discovered my true passion for the high-energy, high-reward world of weddings and special events 9 years ago. I realized that I didn't just want to "do hair and makeup"—I wanted to create an experience that was relaxing, educational, and transformative. This led me to specialize as a traveling freelance artist, serving clients across Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming, and Utah. Over the years, I have evolved into a "Boho Hair Guru" and a specialist in "Soft Natural Glam," focusing on creating the most elevated version of my clients so they can step in front of a lens with total confidence. Today, I take pride in bringing a "main character" level of detail to every session, whether it's a high-stress wedding morning or a high-end editorial photoshoot.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
In my 15 years as a licensed artist, I have worked with literally anyone and everyone. My chair is an inclusive space where I welcome clients of every ethnicity, age, and skin group. My diverse experience includes: Natural Beauty: I specialize in "no-makeup" looks for women who rarely wear makeup and want to feel comfortable and like themselves. Inclusive Glam: I proudly serve all couples and individuals, including the LGBTQ+ community and lesbians looking for specialized event styling. Sensitive & Mature Skin: I frequently work with Mothers of the Bride or Groom who may have sensitive skin, bruising, or specific texture concerns that require professional-grade, hypoallergenic products. High-End & Editorial: I work with professional models and influencers who need "main character" looks that shine like a diamond under studio lights. Life's Special Moments: From pregnant clients wanting a maternity glow to 3-year-old flower girls who just want a little "yummy" lip gloss, I tailor the experience to be age-appropriate and fun. No matter your background or comfort level with beauty, my kit is fully stocked to perfectly match any tone, texture, or age.
