Loren is a great attorney, a great human and someone I would hire again and again! I hired Loren to represent me for a case in which I refused a breathalyzer test and was then ticketed and taken to jail on a DUI. I conatacted Loren late on a Sunday night where he provided me over an hour insight as to my legal road ahead, reassured me that everything would be okay, and told me the next steps I needed to take to help myself out in the legal process, all before I had even hired him. From our first meeting through the end result, I felt Loren was truly looking out for my best interest and wasn't afraid to tell me how things were, even when they weren't good. Even in those instances he reassured me that he would work as hard as he could to get me the best result possible....and he did. What I find even more admirable about Loren is that while he was representing me, he experienced a personal tragedy. As such, I wanted to be respectful of Loren and his situation and allow him the time he needed to work through that issue. I certainly did not expect him to be working on my case during that time. However, when an unforeseen issue arose in my case, he was on the phone with me working just as hard as ever to make sure I was okay and letting me know what to do. I can't thank Loren enough and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Loren!

I would begin by saying Mr. Randy Corporon is a man with due knowledge and has continually shown to be well studied in family law. I most appreciate his expierence when things are "brewing" and his ability to be flexible when crisies are pending. Knowing he himself is a family man is particularly appealing. Mr. Randy Corporon is able to dispatch imperative information running in concordance with deadlines. He calls it like it is and is straightforward with you and great at fair negotiations even when the other side is relentless with playing dirty and schemes. Mr. Corporon also employs a team of professionals for which I have the utmost respect and confidence. Randy is an even tempered, Business Law, exceptional who I count on with full confidence to do the utmost to my value while staying engaged. I firmly support and admire and would most definitely recommend  The Law Office of Randy B. Corporon for your legal needs.

Charlene Madrid was absolutely fantastic in handling my divorce case. Charlene is very professional, communicates very well, is patient, and kind. She explained everything in detail, but also in a way that was very easy to understand. Charlene was aggressive, but also level-headed, which I greatly appreciated. She empathized with my situation and gave me fantastic advice, guidance, and support through the entire process. She was also very prompt with everything and ensured I had all of the knowledge I needed to complete my actions. Everyone in the office was also great! I will 100% hands down recommend Charlene and LKM Law to anyone looking for legal services!

Robert did a fantastic job representing me in my child support matter. Robert successfully defended me in a contempt hearing and was successful in greatly reducing my child support in a follow up matter. I 100% had the better lawyer in my case which is what everyone desires when they need legal assistance. Robert constantly had the opposition on their heels due to his experience and expertise. Robert was knowledgeable and aggressive. He did a tremendous job defending me and I would not hesitate to hire Robert again. Super Lawyer Robert Wolf!!!

I was dealing with a Domestic Violence matter, and Curt was recommended by a family friend. While I was a bit hesitant hiring someone purely based on recommendation for the charges I was facing, after my initial consultation, I hired him immediately. The moment we stepped into the court room and he was happily greeted by every attorney there, I knew I made the right choice. His poise, knowledge of the law, and most importantly, years of experience as a prosecutor for the D.A.'s office made the entire experience go incredibly well. He is a highly respected member of the legal community in Denver, an excellent trial attorney and litigator, and with his expert counsel I felt very confident in every decision we made.

At the end of my options rope, I found Scott Dennison Law in the phone book and called as a last resort. Several other attorneys who had done work for me or were personally referred said my situation had no solution. Scott talked to me about the details of my problem and then explained a few details that might form the basis of a legal appeal. He was clear it was a long shot, working through judges to overturn decisions they had recently made, but said there was a legal argument. He was clear about the cost and unclear potential for a positive outcome. At the end of my rope, I decided to go ahead and to contract with Dennison Law, knowing the outcome couldn't be guaranteed and this was a firm plucked from a phone book. Let me say that every long-shot judge decision reversal happened! Everything I had hoped for that the other attorneys said was not possible resulted from Scott Dennison's legal work on my behalf. For my situation to resolve, certain documents had to be submitted on certain dates. All the dates were met. Scott had a strategy for writing the documents, which he explained. He attended the hearings that were required. He later explained his strategy for testifying at the hearings. He certainly had a strategy for his written and oral communications. I found the contract for services a little confusing, but since I wrote contracts for a living, Scott was even responsive to my editorial comments. He seemed quite patient but balanced in terms of not wasting time on the clock. Every situation is different and not all resolve perfectly, but my rating based on my situation and outcome would be A+. I would use Scott Dennison Law again without question. I cannot think of any way the services could have been better quality. I might add that I have worked with attorneys for forty years in my administrative work. A+ was my experience.

I write this review on behalf of Attorney Mark E. Kraynak. Mark and I initially became acquainted when he patronized the bar/restaurant where I work as a bartender. We quickly became friends. Shortly thereafter, I got involved in a dicey legal situation the details of which shall remain confidential. In conjunction with another person involved, we consulted with Mark several times as the legal matter unfolded. Ultimately, our objective was achieved in the best possible way. I found Mark’s legal advise and counseling throughout the ordeal to be very helpful and indeed invaluable. On a scale of 1-5 stars I give Mark E. Kraynak 6

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does an immigration attorney do?

Immigration lawyers help their clients through all phases of the immigration process. Experts on immigration law, they are legally qualified to represent U.S. citizens, permanent residents or undocumented immigrants. Immigration lawyers also provide assistance to visitors here on student, work or travel visas, and can represent clients who may have an expired visa or who have overstayed their visa.

You can hire an immigration lawyer to assist you with petitioning for renewing a permanent resident or green card, navigating the naturalization process, submitting an employee-based petition for a work visa, filing a petition for a family member, or representing you or a loved one who is facing detention or deportation, as well as replacing, extending or changing a current visa, green card or work permit. The immigration process is highly complex, with multiple hearings, paperwork and requirements. Hiring a legal expert to represent you can help you make your best effort in the process. When researching immigration lawyers, it is very important to verify their qualifications and find a reputable attorney. Read reviews and verify that the immigration lawyer is licensed by your state before paying any fees.

How do you find a good real estate lawyer?

If buying or selling property feels overwhelming and the thought of finding a good real estate lawyer seems daunting, you’re in luck. There are some simple steps to follow for finding a trustworthy, affordable real estate lawyer to help with your property and legal needs.

  • Determine what kind of real estate lawyer you need. Many states require a real estate attorney to handle sale closing documents. For more complex matters such as a real estate deal gone awry or foreclosure, you’ll want to find an attorney who has successfully handled cases like yours.
  • Look for online reviews of real estate lawyers in your area. Verify that they have proven experience closing or winning cases like yours and that they are in good standing with the state bar association.
  • Choose two or three lawyers to interview. Many offer a free consultation to learn about your case and provide information about rates. For standard real estate closing services, in-depth interviewing might not be necessary.
  • Ask about their rates and whether they charge by the hour or provide services for a flat fee. Ask whether a retainer is required, and what the total bill should be for a case like yours.
  • Ask for a write-up of the services that will be covered by the projected costs.
  • Make sure you like the real estate agent and they treat you with respect. Confirm whether they or another person will be working on your case and make sure you’re comfortable with all members of their team.
  • Pay the retainer and hire your lawyer.

What is a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer fights on your behalf if you’ve been injured physically, psychologically, economically or in reputation. This injury may be the result of neglect or malicious intent of another person, or it could be at the hands of a business, government or other entity. Personal injury lawyers specialize in tort law, which is the law of civil wrongs like car accidents, company wrongdoing, unlawful imprisonment and more.

To become qualified to be a personal injury lawyer in the United States, a person must earn a bachelor’s degree, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from a law school. Most states then require the person to pass the bar exam to become licensed to practice law. Unlike many attorneys who require a retainer, personal injury lawyers often work on contingency fees. This means that in lieu of payment upfront, they receive an agreed-upon percentage of the settlement in case of a win.

What does a real estate lawyer do?

A real estate lawyer represents their client’s best interest in all matters related to the sale, purchase and ownership of real estate. They are experts in real estate law. In states that require a real estate lawyer to close home sales, the lawyer must review and finalize all documents before the deal can be legally completed. Real estate lawyers also help clients legally protect their rights when entering, exiting or renegotiating a real estate deal. You can hire a real estate lawyer as an individual or as a business. A real estate lawyer can help with negotiation, addressing mortgage fraud, managing foreclosures and bankruptcy, transfers of titles and deeds, property ownership disputes, zoning issues, creating a co-ownership contract for joint purchase of a property, and much more. Real estate lawyers can also protect you from issues that result when a known problem was not properly disclosed by the previous owner. Overall, real estate lawyers are an added cost when it comes to buying and selling property, but they also ensure your best interests are met, and that you and the people you are doing business with comply with the law.

What kind of lawyer does wills?

No one likes talking about death, but it’s better than leaving your children or siblings to sort out your estate. A clearly planned will can make the time of mourning easier for everyone. An estate attorney will develop a legal will, create trusts on your behalf, and ensure the proper execution of your estate after you pass away.

Family attorneys and estate attorneys, also called probate and wills attorneys, can each prepare wills. The type of lawyer best suited to prepare your will depends on your situation. Most family attorneys provide services to prepare basic wills, including bequeathing property and personal items to family or naming a guardian for minor children. However, estate attorneys specialize in preparing wills in more complex situations. Consider hiring an estate attorney if you:

  • Have a large number of assets, especially those subject to estate taxes
  • Want to create a trust, such as allowing a spouse to live in your home until he or she dies and then leaving it to your children, or set up long-term care for a beneficiary
  • Have an ownership stake in a business
  • Expect someone to contest your will
  • Want to disinherit your spouse
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
