Nick's guy Ron was great! They worked with our budget and really got the crowd going. I would definitely hire him again. He had any song we wanted! Thanks guys.
Absolutely perfect—that sums up our experience with Scott. We hired Scott to entertain our 40 guests at our annual holiday party in our home in Tribeca, and his skills, background and music blew away the other vendors who submitted quotes. Not only is he a wonderfully talented pianist, he is a composer, arranger and teacher. As such, he brings unparalleled skills in creating the perfect musical backdrop to any function…and our holiday soiree was no exception. Warm and welcoming in person and via email, he is professional, pleasant and aims to please. My wife & I asked Scott to prepare a set list filled with sounds of the season—and Scott prepared and performed an endless array of wonderful holiday classics infused with touches of jazz…providing the ideal mood for conversation, laughter and enjoyment. We will most certainly be booking Scott again for our private and corporate events moving forward, and strongly urge anyone looking for a fantastically talented pianist to hire him for any type of gathering, large or small.
I started singing lessons with Chelsea about one month ago. Though I have a passion for music and singing, I have always been shy and nervous to sing in front of others. Chelsea has already made me feel more confident in my voice! Chelsea is so talented and incredibly professional. She listens to what my strengths are and enhances them, as well as grasps my weaknesses and works with me to make them stronger. I also appreciate how Chelsea’s lessons don’t just stop once you leave her studio. Chelsea writes “homework” to take with you, only further encouraging you to work on what was practiced in class. It is SO helpful! I am so happy I started lessons with Chelsea!
Gary is FABULOUS! He is patient and kind, and really quite funny! Best of all, Gary can cultivate a child's natural talent for music. One of the many awesome skills Gary has is the ability to group children together to form bands. He puts bands together where the children bring out each other's musical strengths. These kids have ended up forming friendships and bonds that are long lasting. Even a shy child feels comfortable performing, after Gary's encouragement and tutelage. My oldest child, now in college, attributes his love for music to Gary. We cannot say enough positive things about Gary and encourage everyone to bring their children to Gary for music lessons.
I actually got in touch with Jimi through Thumbtack, and was pleased with the lessons I got right from the start. We're working on music theory and composition, and I managed to learn something I regarded as monstrously difficult for years in the span of a month or two. Jimi makes music accessible and "not scary", adapting his lessons to each student's needs. Highly recommended.
Spencer & Sequoia are abosolutely amazing! I hired them to play a song for my proposal in Central Park and they were great. They played the song perfectly and really created a magical and initiate atmosphere! It was better than I could have ever imaginged. Thank you guys! 👏👏
We had a low turn out due to the weather, but the music made it all better! We absolutely made the best decision choosing this band! They are professional, full of personality and extremely talented! The first of many events to come!
Laura is an enthusiastic piano teacher. She teaches how to play piano by reading music and listening to music Laura plays on the piano. She makes learning how to play the piano interesting and fun!
Barbara matches music students with music teachers.
I have worked with Lisa Ratner of Traxfast Music LLC on several projects including recording, publishing, presentation, performing and event planning. In all cases she was a total professional: hard working, dedicated and very knowledgeable. She is a pleasure to work with and worthy of trust and respect. - Aaron Minsky, President, Von Cello, Inc.
I’d never even picked up an instrument before and Steve taught me guitar! He’s patient and reliable, and music is his passion so he is very easy to talk to and learn from. Great guy and now a great friend as well! 🎰 Thanks again for everything! -JT 🎸💎💎💎💎💎🎸
Kristin has been my voice teacher for a few months now, and it's been amazing! She was able to help me with my vocal breaks and prepare me for my college auditions. She trained me in making a classical sound for that, and now we are working in musical theatre. She's really great to work with and will teach you everything you need to know about how to have a pretty and technically sound voice! A fantastic mentor and a great vocal coach!
I follow Nico's gigs as regularly as possible and have been doing so ever since her fledgling days as a singer song-writer. I love her original music as it has captivating melodies and heartfelt lyrics . She is quite tenacious in getting herself "out there" and in so doing, she leaves me breathless with all the things she does to promote her talents at any one time. I like to go with friends to hang out at her various gigs and be entertained by her while casually enjoying good food rather than a cover band with very loud music. Nico is a very talented singer and musician who plays different instruments equally well.
I'm thrilled with Gab Kallay!! My daughter has been taking piano with Gab for over 5 years and is now starting to play classical music. She spends a lot of time with technique, theory and teaching how to practice. I would highly recommend Gab.
Catherine was very compromising, communicative and helpful in setting up a surprise for my girlfriend. She played a song at restaurant and it worked out great. My gf is now taking lessons from her - thanks Catherine!
Andrew Dapkin has been my guitar teacher and music mentor for over a year now and i wouldn't have it any other way. When Andrew first started teaching me could barely play, had little sense of tempo, and was rusty on reading formal sheet music, but I have overcome those hurdles since then. Andrew is patient, kind, but also holds the student accountable. If you practice according to your lesson plans and don't give up, you'll feel better about playing.
Matt has knowledge of, and an appreciation for ALL types of music. Of course this is difficult because he attended Stony Brook in the 60's and was exposed to the very best of Rock music. But he transcended that period, kept his high regards for Dylan and Jimi, and continued to grow as a musician and person. I've seem him at several jobs, and he reads the audience very well and makes the event a happy occasion for all.
Brian has taught both my sons to play guitar. Brian's teaching style is very engaging! Brian teaches using songs and music that is customized to his students thereby motivating the students even more. In addition to Brian's excellent teaching skills, Brian is very professional and prompt. I would never hesitate to refer him to others who have an interest in learning to play an instrument. He is also an excellent musician in his own right. We have gone to a variety of venues to hear Brian play both solo and accompanied. Brian is a treasure in the world of music!
Creative, thoughtful, and one of the best music teachers you will ever have.
Wendy Kerner is an exceptionally talented Harpist. She and flutist, Mary did an amazing job for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. We are still receiving compliments from our guests on how beautiful and elegant the music was. Wendy is so professional, easy to work with and price point that was very fare. We would highly recommend Wendy Kerner.
