I hired Skilled Service, Repair & Installation a few weeks ago, right before the New Year, and it was a very pleasant experience, from the introductory email, to the phone/text conversations, to the finalization of the job. One thing I really like about Joseph is, that he is really does seem like an honest business man. He must've mentioned to me two or three times not to ever feel shy about asking any questions at all and voicing my own opinion. As a homeowner, and not a professional in the construction business, it is very intimidating at times hiring contractors and letting them and their sub-contractors in the home while having to perform family-hood duties. I mean the household chores, the kids and their homework and their chores, etc, etc. I run a very busy household, Joseph's head had to be spinning, trying to stay focused on the work, hearing the noise and comotion. Who knows what he must've thought of my homelife, LOL, but like I said above, him and his helper were very pleasant and professional. They both have children themselves, and they both said it was nothing new to them. Even when Joseph came by for the estimate, my son and daughter would not leave my side, not even five minutes into estimate he had my kids giggling and smiling, I thought that was very sweet of him. So between the paint job and the electrical installation for the master bedroom and kids' room, the rooms came out absolutely wonderful. The accent walls in each room bounce the rest of the room right out at you. The lighting was beautifly done and there are more outlets and they are so easy to get to now, yay!!
Scope of work was to install microwave hood with direct vent. Walter and team did a great job. I look forward to working with him on future projects such as kitchen renovation and framing renovation in the near future
We hired Marty to replace a damaged faucet, fix our capped pipping, repair damaged wood framing, and replace and patch the drywall in our master bedroom. All in a single day. He did an excellent and meticulous job on the bathroom, and the new faucet works great. The wall was closed up, and Marty even had time to take a look at our garage door opener, which had been malfunctioning for quite some time. The value you get for Marty's time is great. If you have any odds-and-ends around the house that need fixing, don't hesitate to give Marty Klein a try. You won't be disappointed.
Ted is a very experienced contractor who knows what he is doing. He clearly gave me a lot of inputs throughout the course of project. I hired him to remove the wall between the dinning and kitchen and then looking at his work I gave him many other add-on projects such as building a kitchen island, cabinets, building a wet bar, backsplash tiles etc., He is a punctual guy who shows up to work on time. Not to mention he is a very friendly. He fixed many other small things outside of the project and was kind enough to not include in invoice. I am not going to look for contractors for any kind of home remodeling projects. I was away for family vacation and he helped in coordinating with counter top guys to get the work done. Payments: He took payments as and when the job is done. He send pictures of the job as and when it is done to make sure the end result is as planned. That helped me a lot to see things as it happens when I was still busy at my work. Stop your search and hire him to get the work done!
Teddy is truly a perfectionist he knows his craft. I Would highly recommend him. My husband is a retired contractor and is known for wood crafting and he would consider Teday to remodel our master bath room in the Spring. Susan Stevens
Luther is very reliable and does a great job! We would not use anyone else. He has extensive knowledge and has helped us with complicated basement work to even lighting!
I would recommend SJ Remodeling to everyone. They did a fantastic job in building out my MMA Academy. These guys are the real deal! They helped me immensely in the planning the gym build out and guided me in efficient utilization of the space. If you're looking for contractor that do great work, guide you through your specific project and most importantly do not take advantage of your ignorance in construction. SJ Remodeling are the contractors to use!!!
I contacted Spirit Contracting to redo a renovation of my bathroom, after another contractor, who I contracted via Thumbtack, did a horrendous job. Frankie was early to the appointment, patient, went thru the entire job that was completed and advised what needed to be redone. They did an amazing job getting my bathroom completed! I cannot believe the difference!! Spirit Contracting is the way to go!! They were professional, punctual, clean and great to work with. Frankie is honest and pays attention to the littlest details and stands behind his work 1000%. I would most definitely recommend this company and plan on using their services in the future!
Brian was really easy to work with. Polite and professional, he showed up when he said he would, and finished on time as well. He and his guys did a fantastic job finishing up our basement! Sheetrock got put up, spackled and sanded just right. And he's not kidding about being clean... you really can't tell anyone was here working. Thanks again Brian, we'll definitely reach out to you again!
Edison and Jeff are a class act! They did a super job installing and insulating our basement ceiling. The job is perfect! They are very professional, courteous and reliable. They showed up to work when they said they would be there. We were impressed that they worked so carefully and left the basement very neat considering the Sheetrock, insulation and compound that was used! Prior to working they were very patient and thorough with us as we asked plenty of questions. There was minimal dust left behind because they made sure everything was properly covered prior to working. They are very pleasant to work with and their price was quite reasonable. We will use them to do more work in our home. Thanks for a fantastic job JCEC!!
Chris is an absolute professional as well as being an honest, easy to talk to individual with a good sense of humor. Did an amazing job painting my basement and looking forward to working with him again in the near future!
We have had our interior house painted. Exterior of house painted twice. Remodeled a bathroom. Wallpaper. New floors. Odd jobs around the house. No job too small. Louis Flores is great! All we can say is excellent!!! We have used L & P General Contractors for over 15 years. Very reliable, professional, and punctual. L & P Contractors gets the job done right every time!
Bruce is awesome. He did a great job installing our basement door and the bulkhead. He was prompt and very professional. Great guy and would definitely recommend him to friends and family. I’ll also use him for other projects in the future.
Removal of wood paneling, tiled ceiling and installation of sheetrock and painting new surface areas. Ozzy and his team did an outstanding job removing and installing the existing paneling and applying the new sheetrock especially in difficult areas. Ozzy worked tirelessly to ensure every aspect of the job was completed to my liking. He took the time and effort to make sure no corners were cut and provided expert advice on areas I was uncertain about. His knowledge and experience proved worthy. His assistance and selection of paints helped tremendously. Highly recommend Ozzy and look forward to using him on future projects.
Hired Anthony to fix a leak in my basement. Took care of the leak and even hired them to retile the basement.
If you're looking for quality and peace of mind at a reasonable price, then contract Top Notch. We honestly could not have picked a better team to gut and finish our basement! Rick managed to provide the best service and save us money in the long run. We even added a finished bath, which we thought wouldn't be an option for us. Our basement was a wreck and completely under utilized until we found Rick. He is a no frills, get the job done right, kind of contractor - we're already planning our next project with him! By the way, the finishes are amazing... love the added bathroom and bar. I'm glad he convinced us to go with our current design!
When I contacted Square Feet Contracting, my contractor of 8 years had just walked out on me leaving my old kitchen floor ripped and the sub-floor only partially redone. This was the weekend before Thanksgiving and the kitchen installers were coming to install the kitchen at the end of the week after. This means that we had about a week (Thanksgiving included) to finish preparing the sub-floor, tiling, and grouting before installing the kitchen cabinets and appliances. I contacted Square Feet Contracting over the weekend and Paolo was at my house on Monday morning. He saw the project, took his measurements, and gave me a quote and a contract on the spot. Being that he could get started on it pretty much immediately, I signed right away. Paolo came with his co-worker Roberto always on time and in good spirits. This was a complicated tiling job because of the amount of obstacles, corners, closets, laundry closet, and little nooks that required a lot of patience and tile cutting. On top of this, part of the kitchen was an addition done many years ago and the floor wasn't exactly level. Paolo suggested changing the pattern of the tile in that part of the kitchen and that turned out to be an excellent suggestion. Not only was the unleveled floor issue solved, but the change of pattern looked aesthetically beautiful. He also suggested that we use the same tile to add a baseboard (battiscopa, as Paolo would say in Italian), and that was another excellent idea. Our floor looks incredibly beautiful. I definitely deserve some credit for picking such a gorgeous tile (lol), but Paolo and his crew truly did an amazing job in a timely manner (not rushing, but never stopping) and for a reasonable price. Since then he has also done my foyer. There are just two steps that go from the foyer to the house and the way he blended the kitchen tile on the horizontal part of the steps and the foyer tile on the vertical part of the steps is really remarkable. Paolo takes pride on his work and that shines through in the final result. I have so much respect for that. Now I want him to do my back-splash (as soon as kitchen counter-tops are installed), and then we'll move onto the two bathrooms. I give Square Feet Contracting five big fat stars without hesitation and I strongly recommend them to everyone.
We recently completed a large addition at our home and recruited Dakota Builders to oversee the project. This was not a small undertaking, by any means. Kevin showed up everyday, on time, negotiated with contractors (there were many) and met with us on a daily basis to discuss ongoing progress, quotes, time frames, etc. He worked closely with our architect, laid out everything and was very detail oriented. We made the right choice with Kevin. His work ethic and attention to detail is outstanding.
