Do not hire Calebe Rios Services LLC, Calebe Lima Rios, or Douglas Rodrigues
if you care about your money, your home, or your sanity. They are completely unreliable, highly unprofessional, and specialize in playing dumb and making excuses rather than showing up to do the job.
We signed a formal, written agreement for an all-inclusive kitchen cabinet and millwork installation project. On the scheduled morning of the installation—the exact moment my custom cabinets were being delivered to my house—this crew completely ghosted the job site. They failed to show up, failed to provide any warning, and left my entire home construction timeline completely stranded.
When confronted, they spent the entire day sending shifting scheduling excuses, hiding behind "miscommunications," and dodging professional accountability via text up until 8:00 PM.
They are a Connecticut-based company attempting to run illegal, unregistered cross-border operations into New Jersey without holding a mandatory New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor license.
To make matters worse, when given a conditional opportunity to make things right by committing to a strict, consecutive workday schedule to finish what they broke, they completely refused. They insisted on demanding a 50% upfront deposit while refusing to guarantee they wouldn't abandon the kitchen half-finished over the weekend to chase other jobs.
They have zero credibility, zero professional pride, and an absolute lack of customer respect.
The aggrememt is officially canceled, and this matter has been escalated to my attorney.
We are pursuing them in New Jersey Civil Claims Court for $2,000 plus consequential trade damages and court fees, alongside reporting their unregistered operations to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and the Connecticut DCP.
