FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My favorite and most common jobs are Newborn Photography, and Wedding/Event Photography. In some ways, these two things couldn't be more different. Newborn sessions are calm and peaceful while weddings are usually high energy, crazy events! What I really love is what they have in common. The celebration of love, life, family... the new beginning of something great. These things bring me the most joy, and that's why I love photographing them. The memories we make during these times have to be saved and preserved for the next generation. Some images have a timeless, heirloom quality and you just know they will be passed down... I strive for this every time I shoot.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important thing is to pick someone who you resonate with. You want to find a photographer you feel comfortable with and who knows what is important to you. That's the best way to get photos you love, that are really spectacular.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
One of the most important questions I ask a photographer before choosing to hire them is whether or not I get to keep digital copies of all the final images. As a customer, nothing is more disheartening than coming away from an amazing photography session only to realize I have to pick and choose which photos I can take home, because the price of the digital files is way out of my budget. I know I'm going to have my favorite images printed and framed, but I still want to keep the rest of the files, just so I can look back on them later. After all, we made some fun and amazing memories at our photography session, and this is definitely a time in my life that I wanted to capture... that's why I hired a professional! As a photographer, I feel strongly about selling what I would want to buy. That's why all of my portrait sessions, weddings and events include ALL the fully edited, high resolution images. I never want to be in a position where I have to watch my clients struggle to choose which images they want to keep, and which memories they have to let go, in order to stay within their budget. Photography, to me, is about heritage, memories and connection. I not only want you to have an amazing experience with me, I want you to take home photographic heirlooms... to share with your friends and family, and to cherish for a lifetime.
