I am absolutely thrilled to have found Gina Sierra Photography when I was planning my wedding in the summer/fall of 2011. Gina was only too happy to work with me on every aspect, from creating an affordable package to travel details. She went the extra mile for us (quite literally--making none-too-short of a drive) to accommodate us. Our wedding was held at an aquarium which, while providing abundant opportunities for Gina to be creative, also posed more than a few potential challenges for her. She (and her assistant) did an outstanding job and my husband and I, as well as our family and friends, were thrilled with the results. Our pictures are gorgeous, and every bit as classic AND creative as I'd hoped. I offer this recommendation happily and without a hint of reservation.

Gina was recommended to me by a friend of a friend of a friend. I was unfamiliar with her work, but after looking at her Facebook page and chatting with her, I knew that she was both talented and easy to work with. My husband and I could not be more thrilled with our wedding photos! I looked around at many other photographers for our special day and they were all just O.K. However, if you wish to have nothing but outstanding images of your family and friends, Gina is your best bet. Many friends and colleagues have commented on GIna's photos. We have been told time and time again that our photos don't look like wedding pictures; they look like magazine shoots. We're adopting Gina as our official family photographer. Just take a look at her work and you will see for yourself.

We hired Gina to photograph our wedding on 10/19/14. I came across some photos she took on Facebook and instantly fell in love with her style and incredible eye for detail. Throughout the whole process, Gina was so easy to work with and extremely helpful! We really gave her little direction; just a couple of things we wanted or didn't want, and left the rest up to her! She brought so much fun to the whole day and her easy going personality made her such a pleasure to work with! One of our guests was pregnant and the side of her dress opened during the wedding. Gina came into the bathroom as we were trying to fix it with safety pins and was able to tie a shawl around her in a way non of us ever would have thought of. This just speaks to how wonderful she is to have at your event! I would highly recommend Gina to photograph any special event :)

My wife and I used Gina for a family photo shoot this fall. In a word, Gina was-Awesome! She was super friendly, had great ideas about where to take the pictures and not only did she get my daughter to smile, but she was able to handle our dog for the photos that we didn't have her in. Wow! We ended up with so many incredible photos, both portrait and candid shots, and had a great time doing the photo shoot. Gina is not only personable, but incredibly talented and she clearly loves what she does. Photography is an art, and Gina's photos represent the highest of quality. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. We are already looking forward to the next photo session with her!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

My favorite and most common jobs are Newborn Photography, and Wedding/Event Photography. In some ways, these two things couldn't be more different. Newborn sessions are calm and peaceful while weddings are usually high energy, crazy events! What I really love is what they have in common. The celebration of love, life, family... the new beginning of something great. These things bring me the most joy, and that's why I love photographing them. The memories we make during these times have to be saved and preserved for the next generation. Some images have a timeless, heirloom quality and you just know they will be passed down... I strive for this every time I shoot.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The most important thing is to pick someone who you resonate with. You want to find a photographer you feel comfortable with and who knows what is important to you. That's the best way to get photos you love, that are really spectacular.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

One of the most important questions I ask a photographer before choosing to hire them is whether or not I get to keep digital copies of all the final images. As a customer, nothing is more disheartening than coming away from an amazing photography session only to realize I have to pick and choose which photos I can take home, because the price of the digital files is way out of my budget. I know I'm going to have my favorite images printed and framed, but I still want to keep the rest of the files, just so I can look back on them later. After all, we made some fun and amazing memories at our photography session, and this is definitely a time in my life that I wanted to capture... that's why I hired a professional! As a photographer, I feel strongly about selling what I would want to buy. That's why all of my portrait sessions, weddings and events include ALL the fully edited, high resolution images. I never want to be in a position where I have to watch my clients struggle to choose which images they want to keep, and which memories they have to let go, in order to stay within their budget. Photography, to me, is about heritage, memories and connection. I not only want you to have an amazing experience with me, I want you to take home photographic heirlooms... to share with your friends and family, and to cherish for a lifetime.
