Introduction: We offer the following: * Rehabilitation Services Recovery may mean rehabilitation. Using exercise, massage and other therapeutic approaches, our therapists work with those recuperating from illness or injury. * Physical Therapy Our physical therapists design programs to help the patient gain mobility, strength, balance and coordination. To restore patient independence, they teach special techniques for walking, climbing stairs, and moving safely within the home. * Occupational Therapy Our licensed occupational therapists design programs to help the patient improve his or her daily living skills. They focus on self-help and homemaking skills (meal preparation, eating, bathing, and dressing) as well as home safety to maximize each patient’s ability for self-care. * Speech Therapy Our licensed speech language pathologists design programs to restore or improve communication skills resulting from an injury or stroke. Speech language pathologists also teach safe and appropriate swallowing and muscle control techniques for clients with swallowing disorders. * Home Health Aide Under the supervision of Totality Home Health Care Agency, LLC, registered nurses or therapists, home health aides help patients carry out daily living activities. They can assist with personal care (bathing, shampooing, and shaving), meal preparation and light housekeeping. Totality Home Health Care Agency, LLC’s home health care aides have completed specialized training and have passed a competency evaluation. They can help with exercise routines and remind patients to take medication. * Social Work Services Our social workers assess the social, psychological and emotional needs of those affected by acute and chronic illness. They provide counselling, which addresses these needs. Each social worker is skilled at identifying community resources which may be of assistance to clients and their families. * Private Duty Sometimes, someone you love just needs a little extra help to remain independent. Totality Home Health Care Agency, LLC can provide that help. * Private Duty Aide Under the supervision of a Totality Home Health Care Agency, LLC, registered nurses and private-duty aides assist the patient in all daily living activities (personal hygiene, meal preparation, and light housekeeping). They can provide medication reminders, safety monitoring and companionship for those who are temporarily or permanently home bound. Private-duty aides have completed training and must pass a competency evaluation. * Homemakers Our homemakers provide services to those who would otherwise have difficulty remaining at home without some help. Homemakers are trained to monitor patient safety as well as assist with meal planning, preparation, shopping and light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, and laundry). Homemakers are not trained to provide any hands-on care. * Companions Companions provide opportunities for social interaction as well as means of monitoring patient’s safety. Our companions provide “companionable” activity such as game playing, letter writing, and of course, conversation. This can ease loneliness. Companions are not trained to provide any hands-on care.
