Mark and Teresa are a great team. They were a couple minutes early which was awesome. They carefully moved all of my stuff including a shelve with heavy glass doors. Everything arrived to the destination without damage. Teresa is great with taking things apart. She carefully took my Mom’s 30 year old table apart and then put it back together with ease. Impressive. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I thought I was dealing with a BBB and state registered business. Despite the fact that they are not, they get the job done and do great work so I wouldn’t let that deter you from using them. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We usually do it by the hour so this way a customer can add items or even leave some furniture to cut down the time. We can give a flat rate if thats what the customer wants. We do have some flat rate moves, pianos are usually a flat rate. We also supply labor and no truck, in this case I ts $30 an hour per mover. We and all other professional moving companies have a 4 hour minimum. We charge usually a half hour travel to and from your home. We also do hoists. This is when we have to move a item in through a window on the 2 Nd or 3 rd floor or over a balcony. This is a flat rate. Packing labor is the same rate as moving $30 an hour per mover/packer. We also sell boxes, rates vary. We do have wardrobe boxes in which we hang clothes on from your closet. We did a move for customer with cancer and we found away to save her little more than on a average move, we try to help those less fortunate as much as We can. In some cases We even move some people for free giving their terrible circumstances. ( leaving a shelter, and some other cases. If you know someone who might need a service like this please feel free to let us know and we would see what We can do. We work with you and not against you! We are on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.Sunday moves are more.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Send a quote, explain cost and try to give the most accurate quote we can. We would like to come out and take a look and see the scope of move and to see what we are up against, this gives us a more accurate pricing system. In some cases while we are out there we collect a deposit mostly to secure the date and time. We like to come out to see where we can park our truck and if there are any unseen objects etc.) We want to know about how long the move will take also because if your move is estimated for 4-5 hours we usually try to book another job so the movers can get a full days work. All of our movers are full time. This is our lively hood. My movers want a full days work so we try to book at least 2 jobs a day or at least 8 hours. We are on call 24 hours a day. 7 days a week.
