Anne M.

Jill is hands down one of the best pianists/vocal coaches out there. I have worked with her for over 5 years. She is my go-to person for repertoire preparation and concert collaboration. She helped me prepare for renowned national opera competition, and thanks to her guidance, I won! She will help you musically and dramatically polish your repertoire in a way that makes YOU shine as an artist. She doesn't believe in a cookie cutter approach. She wants to help you become an individual artist with something unique and valuable to say. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I am definitely worth my fee, and it is reasonable and within the market rate for my expertise and my geographic location. I don’t offer discounts, and the only extra fees would be for cancellation or rescheduling a lesson 48 hours prior to the lesson.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Talk to find out what are your goals and desires, implement a schedule and a curriculum that is engaging.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a B.A. in piano performance, and have taught mostly at the college level. Universities: Yale, Southern Connecticut State University, Hartt School of Music, New England Conservatory, Boston College, Tufts. I also lead a summer program for middle and high school students in Music Theater.
