- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been a technology guy since I was 12 with my VIC20 and Commodore64. My father, Ray Seymour, is a retired General Electric engineer with over 60 issued patents; there's binary in the blood. I remember he created a robot using the Vic20 parallel port and a series of custom circuit boards connected to motors. We were able to program it through a language he created based on LOGO. FD20 Anyone? MEA Mobile was incubated at a leading innovation management firm, Macfarlane Engel & Associates. They recognized early the opportunity in the web & mobile space. When we hit a few targets we were able to spin it out into what is now MEA Mobile. Today we have three offices worldwide.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Printicular is a photo assistant app we are very proud of. A simple interface allows you to take your pics from Facebook, your camera roll or Instagram and send them to Walgreens to have them printed. Instagram made the 4x4 print re-famous and now you can physically print out your pics at Walgreens with Printicular. This is an app which is available for iOS and Android. We will soon have integration for other photo services.
