I reached out to thumbtack to find professionals who were really good at writing resumes and I had several writers (including Karen) who responded. I narrowed it down to 2 (which included Karen) and immediately contacted both. I wasn't able to reach both parties so I left a message on both voicemails. Within 10 minutes Karen returned my call and I told her what I wanted done. After listening to her speak for a few minutes I told her she was hired. I was very impressed about how well she listened and her description of how she would create a resume that I would be pleased with. Well, to make a long story short, Karen produced an EXCELLENT resume and cover letter! I was very happy with her work. She is very professional and really meets the deadline that was agreed on. If I could give her overall performance 10 stars I certainly would. I am also looking forward to having her set up my LINKEDIN account. Discovering Michele right in my back yard has forced me to change many preconceived notions about professionals in the area. I was always under the impression to find experts one had to seek them beyond Greater Hartford. It was immediately obvious my first choice, part of a highly acclaimed national editors guild, did not get me or my work. I narrowed down an initial batch of potential resume writers to three. In hindsight, I feel like an idiot that I didn't lock in on Chuck over the two offers immediately. He demonstrated tremendous professionalism and dutiful attention to detail in producing a pair of high-quality deliverables. He didn't offer any sort of cookie-cutter responses that would have led to a dull, pointless resume. He wanted to offer more than his competitors and, more importantly, he cared about providing the highest level of customer service to me. This is one of the best service-oriented professional exchanges that I've had on the internet over the past decade. I sent Linda my book manuscript and was amazed to see how many grammatical errors I had made while writing the book. She corrected my slang, out of date jargons, and made suggestions to correct or relocate paragraphs to other chapters. She also advised me about statements that should be altered to avoid legal action from individuals or establishments named within the chapters. Our company hired Martha (Penny) Guyer to work with us writing for a New York State grant. As usual we had an aggressive deadline, a number of questions to answer and no real idea on where to start. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Bridgeport working on my Bachelor's Degree in Business.
