Rev. Dr. Harvey Weitzel

Introduction: I am an ordained Lutheran minister who practices pastoral psychotherapy in a way which integrates religious resources with insights from the behavioral sciences. My clinical specialties are individual, couple and family therapy and premarital counseling because of my concern for the growing rate of divorce in our society. My doctoral dissertation dealt with a new and more informative approach to premarital counseling. As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help others uncover their true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. Being a Lutheran pastor of a local congregation, I also officiate at weddings following premarital counseling to celebrate the joining of two lives into one, if a couple desires.
