I gave him the task of updating my 1980's home. I needed my master bathroom completely remodeled. He remodeled my master bedroom. Removed a skylight that was leaking and closed up the roof and repaired my ceiling. Removed the fireplace and gave me a linen closet. Ripped up the carpet and installed a new hardwood flood. Painted the bedroom. .My kitchen and dinning room needed to be completely gutted, the wall removed between the rooms and combined into one large room with an island. The cabinets needed to be stripped and refinished. He removed the soffit and added crown molding on the top of the cabinets. Took the refrigerator and pantry cabinet and installed them in the wall to enlarge the kitchen even more. He even changed the entrance from the hallway into the kitchen/dinning from squared off ceiling to an archway which gave the look of a new addition to the home. He knocked out the window in the dinning room and replaced it with a sliding glass door. Built a large back deck for entertaining. Built a gazebo right next the the deck so that I can just walk onto the deck and into the hot tub in the gazebo. Poured a concrete slab. Then installed a hot tub. It looks like a new home throughout. My family and friends would walk into my home and their mouth would just drop open in disbelief. It doesn't even look like the same home. His attention to detail reflects the years of experience this man has in carpentry. When you explain what changes you would like to do to a home. He can tell you what will work and what won't. He brought to my attention that the electrical wiring was not done correctly when my home was built. So I had him correct that as well. Hiring Jacques to update my home was the best decision I ever made. Spending the money for updating and repairing my home was well spent. My home is worth a lot more thanks to Jacques. I would highly recommend him for any size job. He is a one man operation, but gets the job done like a whole crew of men. He constantly keeps the job site clean so the dust is minimal. I would not hesitate to hire this man. He is professional, knows what he is doing and can be trusted with your home.
I purchased a prefab gazebo from Costco with plans to assemble it with a friend, but quickly realized it was too big a job. Jorge responded within minutes to my request for a quote on Thumbtack. He asked for a link to the gazebo (no one else even asked to see what they were quoting on). He got back to me quickly with a quote for the job. Once I accepted, he quickly confirmed plans to do the job the next Saturday at 9:00am. He contacted me the night before to re-confirm the start time. He showed up on time and completed most of the job that same day. It was brutally hot and humid but he and his helper kept on going! Jorge came back the following morning as he said he would to complete the finishing touches. They did a great job and the gazebo looks great! I will definitely use him again for other projects! He is very professional, left the yard clean, and did a great job!
Small job of replacing roofing on gazebo. Handled in a single day. Job done expertly. Looks great!
Jofre, Edison, Juan and the others in the crew did an excellent job. I am more than pleased. They transformed my house and my deck into something that each time I drive up to it or sit on my deck, I feel on top of the world. It's a good feeling when your house looks so good when before it looked just so-so or worse. My house needed painting as well as wood to replace the trim and other areas that had rotted. They replaced the rotted wood on the house, and did the same with the deck for the planks and the steps and the gazebo area where a hot tub once stood. Then they worked their magic with the paint. I highly recommend JCEC. They are professional and clearly take pride in their work.
He installed 2 bathroom sinks, painted the bathroom and even mowed the lawn and blew the leaves. I found him to be reliable and his prices are fair. He us willing to help with whatever you need.
I do not even know where to start. If Bruce lived in a different time he would have been a Renaissance man. He possesses a masterful blend of artistry and intellect. The first project he did for us was to redo a simple laundry room. This entailed making templates and installing granite for a counter with a sink and a making a folding table/counter. He had to repair some sheet rock and repaint the room. The results were impressive. The second job he did was design and build a workbench for my art studio. His architectural renderings were impressive. He measured the length of my arms to insure I was able to reach the peg board behind the work bench. He thought to install a length of electrical outlets beneath the lip of the bench. The side drawers are easily opened and closed and the paper trays are large enough to hold my watercolor paper. He is extremely meticulous and his work shows this. He installed glass doors in the basement studio to allow more light to enter the area. When this wasn't sufficient, he cut through the concrete and installed a window (with molding and a sill). His masterpiece was the deck he built for us. With Bruce's skill and our artistic input he produced a showpiece deck. The three tiered deck allows for minimal visual obstruction of the woods below. He installed tiny lights on the stairs to make them safer in the evening. He thought of these. He made a portion of the deck curved to provide harmony with the landscaping. Again, his renderings were precise and impressive. He laid everything out carefully and was always thinking ahead. Our deck is magnificent. He handled all the paperwork for the permits as well. On a smaller scale Bruce hung paintings, our TV, glass doors leading to a bonus room, fixed all our leaky faucets and provided names when we needed a generator and a water softening system installed. Bruce is one of a kind in that he is masterful in so many areas and knows when to get a consult. He is prompt and ready to work hard. He put in very long hours, cleaned up and just did amazing work. I still look forward to having him finish an upstairs loft, a bathroom in our studio and build a space for a china hutch. I feel so fortunate that we found Bruce and would give him the highest of recommendations. He really is a Master of many things! He is also very easy to talk to and to work with.
This guy is beyond amazing. I hired him to put up an old gazebo on our deck...not realizing at the time (no instructions, pieces missing, not to mention it is old). He was beyond anyone I have ever met....he worked from before 3 pm (including going to Home Depot to get hardware needing replaced) until 9-930 to complete an absolutely absurd protect. He figured it all out on his own, no pics, no diagrams (nothing even on google) I am just so impressed on how he actually figured it out in his own (considering there were pieces missing ....that he either found, purchased or replaced). He was 5 star fantastic....and more. Not to mention how kind and patient he was. You are really hiring an expert when you hire Tony!!! He is A+!!!!! Thanks again Tony ❤️ Forever grateful ❤️ PS. I didn't include pics because I still have more to do, but be assured it was an amazing job
Jay and Steve did a great job. I had the basement compounded and painted, wallpaper removed in two rooms, 2 bedrooms, a foyer, two hallways repainted and textured ceiling redone. They were neat and clean, informative and professional. Don't hesitate to contacts them for estimates. I plan on having them do my outside deck, gazebo and kitchen next. You won't be disappointed.
