FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'll work within your budget and am always happy to negotiate estimates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ideally, we'd sit down or schedule a phone call. I'd want to learn your vision for your event, what kind of energy and mood you want to cultivate, and the crowd you anticipate participating. I'll offer some suggestions and listen to your's. Together, we'll craft a musical vision from which I'll prepare a palette and improvise during the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My professional training's in law. I graduated from Stanford in 2003, a decade after I started MCing in Chicago, and a decade before I started DJing in Washington, DC. In the meantime, I've performed around the country at dozens of venues, from nightclubs and music festivals to Burning Man theme camps and house parties. I started making music as a singer in middle school, and haven't stopped since.
