FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When starting a relationship with a new client, the first thing I put emphasis on is starting from the end. I want to know how the client envisions the final product and work from their to help create it. In our first conversation we'll discuss the look that the client has in mind and how and what is needed to achieve that goal, then we'll discuss logistics of the shoot, time and date, attire, setting, and time management.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken classes and workshops throughout the D.C./Baltimore area at institutions such as The Art League of Alexandria, VA. I have worked with and assisted wedding photographers and participating in a number of fashion photo shoots. I have participated in and been an instructor in workshops and have led photo walks.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a passion for the arts and creativity, be it visual art, writing, or as a kid cutting pictures out of magazines and pasted them in shoe boxes constructed to resemble buildings and houses- shoe box cities my brother and I use to call them. So, when I picked up my first Kodak digital camera two years ago it was business as usual. As stated in my bio, I can't just point and shoot straight ahead, I have to create. I must develop something that is unique and dynamic, the sort of thing that grips your emotions and you can't quite figure out why.
