Alexia could not take direction on a simple body paint job, despite several pictures of exactly what we wanted and repeated instructions to make the stripes wide (like a zebra's) and less jagged. (See the first photo we'd asked her to replicate and the photo of her horrible work.)
However the worst part by far was that she asked us to pay the remaining $160 we owed her in CASH at the last minute when we were running late and had to be done (which she knew), despite her having signed a contract with my company that stated we would pay the remaining balance by check or direct deposit in weeks following service rendered.
The ask for cash felt like she was trying to scam us. She said she had forgotten her credit card and needed the cash money to get back home (despite the fact her profile had said she was based in DC, right outside of Baltimore where we had hired her, it turned out she had actually driven from Michigan). We had a hard time buying that story, given she and her associate (who she at turns called her "assistant" or just a "friend" depending on who was asking) had asked if there were any casinos in the area before asking for the cash. I ended up just giving her the $30 cash I had in my wallet from just to get her to leave so we wouldn't be later than we already were.
Honestly it was a very strange and unprofessional experience, the worst I've ever had from a body painter or Thumbtack. I would not recommend her to anyone, ever, and hope I never have the misfortune of meeting her again.

Sorry to hear that you were not pleased with my work!
It upsets me that we live in a world that honest people cant be trusted. I love to travel, I love art & I love people. So I started doing this work for the pure joy of all three! & the satisfaction of making people happy.
Im sorry you don't believe my friend/associate(what difference does it make)drove 7 hrs & 26 mins to feel so unappricated! Sorry that I face paint in 6 state. Sorry you didn't get the memo that payment must be made two days prior to your event or cash the day of. I am not a scammer!
I have been in business three years come July & I have had 5 stars from most of my clients. Sorry to hear you were one I could not please! Sorry that I made you so unhappy that you would not even speak if we were to cross paths.
