Hi! I have 20+ years of experience in Architecture and Interior Design, I'm just new to Thumbtack. I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects: commercial, residential, educational… doing everything from space planning to selecting finishes, coordinating with contractors and working within budgets. My approach is to listen in an effort to truly understand what my client is looking for and then to provide design solutions to help make their space whatever they want it to be. I really enjoyed the experience of working with Kami. She was very understanding of my needs, and was very mindful of my budget and time. I needed to make the living and dining area multi functional to fit our family’s needs (1 adult, 2 teens and 2 cats). I sent her some pics of things I saw that I liked and she was able to capture the essence without making it a cluttered space. Due to budget I kept it to the dining and living area but will work with her in the future to do the bedrooms as well :)

Kami has made this new experience of interior designing all the more exciting and easy! She has been incredibly receptive to our vision and does a spectacular job keeping track of budgets per item and lays out the floor plan well, aligning with the measurements of the apartment blueprint. She took on the challenge of combining our different pieces from our homes to create a comprehensive style. Kami was so helpful in giving me guidance as I selected paint colors. I appreciated her encouragement to go bold if I wanted. Kami did an excellent job re-styling pictures on our bedroom walls after we put wallpaper up. She was responsive and fun to work with! She has an expert’s eye when it comes to placing items on the wall.
