Introduction: Hello! I'm Adam Pierre, owner of Essential Fitness. I provide in home personal training services in DC, MD, and VA. So, if you're looking for a coach to help you lose weight, feel great, increase strength, or recover/prevent injury, I'm your guy! If you don’t have a gym or equipment, don’t worry, I bring the gym to you. All we need is space to train. Functional training is my specialty, which means I focus on training you to move better so you can train at a HIGHER LEVEL and enjoy a better quality of life. I develop programs that are tailored to meet your specific needs, which starts with a FREE Functional Movement Screen (FMS). This screen was developed by physical therapist to help trainers and coaches, like myself to establish your movement baselines to give us a better idea on how to develop clients training program. Adam is the best trainer I’ve ever had. His focus on form and progression is exceptional. I’ve had trainers before and have gone through assessments, but the assessment he provides is so thorough and he took the time to explain the importance each movement. I can see how he’s incorporating the assessment into our workouts. He also makes the sessions fun. He definitely pushes you, but he keeps you engaged. He’s definitely worth the money.

Cannot recommend Adam highly enough!! The convenience of training at home is awesome, especially during COVID. Adam has helped me up my game in terms of form and really get all my strength / functionality back postpartum. Our weekly training sessions are fun, challenging, and a highlight of my week!

My husband and I are doing personal training classes with Adam and we couldn't recommend him more. He has adjusted to our personal needs, always has new workouts for us to try, pushes us, but is also aware of some injuries and addresses those accordingly. Could not recommend Coach Adam enough! He is incredible at creating a personalized program that fits your needs and goals. The total opposite of what I've experienced with trainers at big box gyms. If you are looking for a personalized corrective exercise trainer, do yourself a favor and get with Adam!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Individual training sessions are $70 a session. You can save by purchasing a package (several sessions in advanced). Purchase 12 or more and your price is $63 a session.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I'd like to start with a zoom or phone consultation. This is for us to get familiar and we can discuss your training needs, things you'd like to work on, training history etc. Our first session is the in person fitness assessment and Functional Movement Screen. From there we can further pinpoint which direction to take your training.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am an ISSA certified Elite Coach. With certifications in Personal Training, Corrective Exercise and Fitness nutrition. I am an FMS 1 (Functional Movement Screen) Certified coach. And Carry an Adult CPR/AED Standard First Aid certification.
