I am a yoga instructor, Reiki Master Teacher, fitness coach and wellness consultant who focuses on using movement and mindfulness as a means to help people heal, and level up! My specialty is helping others let go of attachment from things that are holding them back. This can mean losing weight, clearing stagnant energy, and managing stress. I have been practicing yoga and meditation for over 12 years and received my 200 hour yoga teaching certification in 2015. I completed my advanced yoga teacher training for my Power Yoga 500 hr level in October of 2019 through The Hard and the Soft Yoga Institute founded by Beryl Bender Birch. I also am a Reiki Master Teacher and have been practicing since 2015. I offer Reiki sessions, and also offer classes and attunement at all levels.
I enjoy helping people along their own personal wellness journey by offering tools that have helped me along my journey as well. Weight loss is something that I have struggled with in the past, and through conscious eating and regular movement I've lost over 50 pounds. It is really not about the weight though, it is about will power and a commitment to becoming the best variation of your Self.
I work with people one on one, or facilitating groups. In addition to Power Yoga and Vinyasa, I also teach kids yoga and accessible yoga for EVERY body type. I also offer sessions online. My yogic background is as diverse as my clients, and I am happy to accommodate!
I love working with clients in the Washington, DC area, in Richmond, and in Virginia Beach; and will travel to you. I also work with studios in each city for one on one sessions, and can organize a private location for an additional price.

Adrianne provided the perfect rejuvenating yoga experience for our bachelorette party. Whether your crew is beginner level or expert, Adrianne can curate a session to meet your needs. Our group enjoyed an amazing stretch and meditation to prepare for our weekend. Adrianne was extremely professional, punctual, and accommodating. Her mindful meditation was the group’s favorite part of the session. We are so grateful she was willing to travel to our remote location and provide her services. We will definitely book her again when given the opportunity.

Adrianne is top notch when it comes to leading a Yoga class! I came to visit with family and friends and we decided to have a Yoga class. Communication via Thumbtack for the two weeks leading up to trip was a breeze; Adrianne was very responsive. When we arrived, I accidentally mentioned the wrong Park, but Adrianne was so accommodating and met us a mile up to intended part with no question. One thing I loved about this class, is that Adrianne took her time explaining the different poses and the background behind them, which was very much appreciated. Adrianne was so personable and spirit was so calming which made this overall experience, amazing!

Adrianne is a burst of postive energy! I have practiced with her for over 2 years, in group classes and one on one, and I leave every session feeling encouraged. I am overweight and often let that get in the way of trying challenging/new poses but she always finds a way to make them accessible. I just did my first headstand off the wall! Something I didn't think I could do until I was much much smaller. Your practice is your practice and Adrianne gets that! I have been in classes where I'm all propped up to get into a pose and some where I'm in down dog for 90% of the class, and others where I am the one (cause there is always one :) ) who is taking the pose to the next level. If you are considering taking a class with her definately try it out!
My yoga practice is primarly fitness/asana focused. I just started meditating. Where as Adrianne is more Yogi than yogi, so be prepared to learn about Mercuary being in retrograde or chanting, even focusing on the different yoga breaths. Take away from it what works and leaves what doesn't. It has been me and Adrainne in a one on one sessions and "we" end in om (I never do it) should feel awkward but it never does. You know why because her practice is her practice. Adrianne creates a space for you to be you and you find your self doing the same.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I take your yoga, Reiki, and overall wellness experience seriously. I work to make sure that you have something that truly fits your needs. I’ve done quite a bit of training and have deep experience in this work. My goal is to make it so that you can take this work in as your own, and know that I am always here to help if you need anything.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my 500hr YTT in Power Yoga Ashtanga and my 200 hr YTT in Hatha/Vinyasa. I have also studied Trauma Informed Yoga, Yoga Therapy, and fitness informed yoga. I have designed my own yoga and kickboxing classes to produce a hybrid experience that allows for anyone to get a full body workout grounded in self care.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I took my first yoga class at my local YMCA in 2004 when I was in high school. I thought the class was weird (particularly the “OM” at the end), but I really enjoyed trying the postures. When I read in Bop magazine that Madonna did yoga every day, I decided to keep trying it to see what it was all about. I eventually found other teachers, and learned how diverse the practice is. It’s been a long journey, and it only continues to evolve. I always have something to offer other just starting yoga because I’ve constantly inspired by the fact that I always feel like there’s something new for me in this practice after all these years. The same goes for Reiki. I am always happy for others to learn.
