If you're like me and you've burned through a dozen gym memberships that never quite went anywhere, home workouts that got derailed with pressures of daily life, Stephanie's program the perfect solution. Here are a few of my favorite details in working with her: 1) With her certification and her unique clinical background, Stephanie provides a wide range of coaching--much more holistic than what I've experienced in the past. With her, I not only get professional physical training, but I also learn a lot about how my body operates. She is patient, understanding, compassionate, and always makes sure that we are comfortable as we grow. 2) In the middle of quarantine, I have been very wary of the risks of going to a large gym. Stephanie has the perfect solution for this. She has built her own, customized gym with professional grade equipment. She takes the time to thoroughly santize during the sessions and between and after clients. 3) Her sessions are in short, instensive sprints of unique workouts, which keeps exercising from being monotonous and boring. She is passionate and makes each minute fun, so I feel motivated and energized for each set. 4) Stephanie is 110% invested in our wellness. She checks in on me the day after a workout session to make sure that I am feeling well. She goes above and beyond to keep me informed in my progress and help me develop my goals. Overall, she has taken the dread out of working out, and I feel EXCITED for these sessions--especially after spending 8+ hours of my day sitting at my desk job. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Currently my personal training packages are discounted 20% through the end of January! There are multiple package options for all my services including nutrition and health coaching. My pricing makes all services VERY affordable. If you purchase more than one service (such as nutrition coaching and personal training), you reap more savings as well.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We have an initial 15 minute phone consult to get acquainted and do a goal overview. Phone consults are always free. At the end of the phone consult, you decide if you want to move forward. Then we set up the next session and depending on what service you chose, that will decide how the first session goes. For example, for training we set up a fitness assessment. The fitness assessment is about an hour and starts with preliminary (boring) paperwork, then we do several fitness tests to establish that baseline to help me with programming for you. After the assessment we can schedule your next session or all of them (some customers want to know their schedule well in advance).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My education and experience are unique. I started my career training healthy individuals and through my masters program and clinical experience, I was fortunate to work with patients in rehabilitation, prescribing exercise as medicine for cardiac, pulmonary, renal, Parkinson's disease, stroke, diabetes, oncology, and adolescent weight management and bariatric services. I have a BS in Behavioral Health and Nutrition from the University of Delaware, a Strength and Conditioning Minor, and a MS in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Delaware coupled with an ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification. Additionally, I am an ACLS and BLS certified, an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor, and hold a NASM certification for health coaching. I also have several other group fitness certifications, which includes 2 barre certifications and cycling.
