Introduction: After completing my bachelors degree from Penn State, I worked for 3 years as a computer science engineer at DuPont in Wilmington, DE. There, I learned how to fix any computer-related problem ranging from replacing motherboards and upgrading computer parts to make it faster, setting up a home network, to data recovery. For the last 8 years, I have been working as a Network Systems Engineer in Wilmington. An outstanding tech!!! Contacted Matt regarding a power issue on a new PC that had been sitting idle and unused for a couple of years. Matt responded within minutes of me reaching out on Thumbtack. We went over the issues and set up an appointment. He arrived on time, looked over the entire system and took it with him for further inspection. Found the issue in a couple of hours, got it working and updated the system before returning it the same day. Took time to go over everything that he did, and my system is now up and running! Very courteous, friendly, patient with explaining the process, and is excited with the work he does. My computer was inoperable secondary to some viruses. I contacted Matt during night on thumbtack. He contacted me next AM. I took my computer to his home after work and he dropped to my home that PM. I had a issue that some day. He responded immediately. Computer is fine. All is well!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge about half of what Best Buy Geek Squad charges. I am in it to make a few extra bucks while helping the customer not overpay for IT services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will either go to the customers house or have them drop their computer off with me. Within a few hours I will know how to fix their problem and keep the customer updated the entire time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Penn State Bachelors degree - IST COMPTIA Network+ COMPTIA Security+ COMPTIA CASP+ COMPTIA A+
