Tony did an overall great job with the install of our new shower faucet and repair of our washing machine. He provided great service and a reasonable rate. The quality of the work performed was excellent and he was also responsive when we had questions. Overall great job and I would recommend his work.
Did a great job installing our bathroom/shower fixtures. Besides being skilled at his craft, he is also quite knowledgable in tech and current events. Will hire again, thanks Charles!
INSPECT AND ANALYZE WATER/SEWER BACKUP IN NEW HOME My son and his fiancé own a new home in Fishtown. They paid in excess of 500k for the home and took possession at closing in January 2016. This is their dream home and represents a major financial commitment on their part. Since they took possession and ownership, their basement has flooded on two separate occasions in less than 6 months. As a result of the first flooding, the new flooring in the basement was damaged and now needs complete replacement. This expense will be borne by my son and his fiance. In addition, their worrisome concern about the prospect of future flooding has also led to capping the plumbing fixtures in the basement until some kind of fix can be achieved. This means the basement toilet and shower will not be usable for an indefinite period of time. On both occasions a significant amount of rain fell, so there may or may not be some question whether the combined sewer/waste water line that runs under their street was overly taxed by an unusually high volume of water that fed into the sewage line. However, the question of backflow of water into such a new house also raised a significant question about the adequacy and workmanship of the home's newly constructed plumbing system. In an effort to investigate the facts concerning the builder's performance, I reached out to Josh at Solution Based Plumbing on an early Sunday morning. That same morning, as he headed into church, Josh told me he would make himself available to look at the situation later that very morning! I honestly could not believe that he would make himself available to assist me on such short notice. When he arrived for the inspection as promised, he looked around, explained his preliminary findings, and recommended that he do a camera test of the water lines to assess and evaluate the situation. He made clear he would call the situation as he found it, and that he would not come to any adverse decision about the plumbing if his findings were simply "marginal" for poor installation. Two days later, and as scheduled, Josh performed the camera test. He viewed the inside of the plumbing lines carefully and explained to my son and me what he was looking at as he went. He found two significant builder's performance issues in the water line leading out of the house to the street. He carefully detailed his observations and findings and explained their impact on the drainage issue and their contribution to the backflow my son experienced since moving into the house. He said he would follow up with a written report of his findings, and he proceeded to do so within 24 hours after leaving the house. IF EVER my son needs to deal with plumbing-related issues that the builder refuses to address under his warranty, my son (and I) will not hesitate to call Josh back for assistance. There are several reasons I can say this without hesitation. Josh is competent, well spoken, polite, professional, objective, responsive, and honest. He and his company provide a level of service that is uniquely reliable for customers who are looking for fair, honest and reasonably priced solutions to their plumbing problems. His wife, Stacy, provides tremendous administrative support to complement Josh's hands on involvement. This company and its owner/operator is the real deal that customers in need of plumbing services are looking for. Josh and Stacy fully acknowledge the importance of customer focus in delivering a vital service to the public, fully consistent with their statement of ethics which you can view on their website. Thank you Josh and Stacy!! John
We needed help repairing a patio screen door, a shower door and two closet doors which were off track. We couldn't have had a better experience. Mark was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and his prices were very reasonable. We needed the work done in a quick manner and Mark scheduled us immediately. We would highly recommend Mark to anyone, and have already started a list of items for him to help us out with.
Ellal was very friendly and helpful! He did a wonderful job replacing an accordion style door in my paneled basement bathroom with a real door. It looks amazing! He also replaced all the drop ceiling tiles in the basement, put up shelves and assembled and installed a sink in the owder room.
My sister and I were so happy, blessed, and excited to find Steve. He was responsive and professional from our very first interaction. He asked all of the right questions needed to get to the root of our problem without unnecessary work or drama. He was able to replace our bathroom shower system quickly and without a lot of mess. I highly recommend him to others and I look forward to using his services in the future.
Repaired my garage doors and work was completed on schedule and for price quoted.
I would recommend Tom Falcone to anyone including my family and friends. His work was timely and he explained what he had done each day and told me what he was going to do the next. He tried his best to match a 70 year old weather beaten brick which was next to impossible. He repaired the roof leak and installed a chimney cap, painted a door and shutters. He was initially hired to do some mortar repair which he completed. Thank you so much Tom and side kick, Chris. Mary Beth
We hired Joe to install casing around two doorways and are very pleased with our decision and his work. He promptly responded to all communication and was very professional. The job took a little longer than expected to complete but this was only because he took the extra time to do the job right and secure additional materials that enhanced the final result. The casings look great and really make a difference in the look of the rooms. We plan to hire him again for future projects, including the production and installation of barn doors. We definitely recommend him to anyone else seeking home improvement.
Dave did a terrific job. He met our timeline exactly and was up front and fair. He acted quickly and knew what the job would take giving us a few resonable options after his initial visit, which he stopped by to give us a quote within 24 hours of posting on thumbtack! We would certainly use him again. We were very happy with the door installation. The project had a hard stop deadline and he accommodated it. Thanks Dave!
I hired Advanced Construction Design to install a toilet. He was efficient and got the job done right. He was very professional and provided quality work.
We were in denial about the caulk in the bathroom until we saw the evidence that the water was leaking into the walls late on a Friday night. Definitely lucky to have no damage. Mr. Keith received notification around 7am on Saturday we needed him and was able to squeeze the job in around noon. He was quick and communicative when we had small job that needed to get done (1 shower in house). Definitely will be calling him for the rest of our handyman needs.
I hired Fitzptrick LLC to install a bathroom vanity. Tim exceeded all expectations. I am fully satisfied with the workmanship, cost, and professionalism.
Steve is great! He has fixed leaky sinks, broken showers, installed faucets, and repaired toilets. He is very friendly and professional. So happy with his work!
Al came by to repair a leaking bathroom into the neighbor's unit down below. As a part of the repair he also replaced the shower door with a new one. He took the time to do the job well. Al is very personable and is open to suggestions. He is also very considerate of the owners and their timings so as not to disturb their routine. Thanks Al!
Jeovonie and Martin recently completed work on our guest bathroom, and they did an AWESOME job! They essentially replaced everything in our bathroom (tub, vanity, mirror, shower, faucet, shower head, shower rod, and toilet), including removing the old, cracked acrylic tub liner and replacing it with new tile. It looks like a whole new room, in the best possible way, and I literally jumped up and down because I was so excited when I saw the finished product for the first time! They were prompt, courteous, lovely to work with, and finished the project on budget and ahead of schedule. I highly recommend them and would definitely work with them again. Thanks again Jeovonie and Martin!!!
Our project included replacing our old out-dated floor moldings, two door casings and a large sliding glass door casing along with interior painting. We find the task of hiring a contractor to be very stressful! We interviewed several candidates prior to hiring Anthony Pino, of PinoWorks, LLC. Anthony had great suggestions and he made us feel at ease during our initial visit. Anthony is very easy to talk to and he understood our concerns and offered resolutions. Anthony exceeded our expectations, he is a skilled craftsman, his work is impeccable. The 5 1/2" floor trim is just beautiful and it is due to Anthony's quality work. Anthony never left a mess and treated our home with respect! We will hire Anthony for future projects and will most definitely recommend him to friends and family.
Paul installed both a storm and entry door for me. I was very happy with how everything turned out. He was always responsive to my questions, showed up on time for both the estimate and the work, and completed the job on the days and in the time promised. I would hire him again, and I recommend him to anyone who needs work done.
C & J was very punctual and installed my door right after he provided me with an estimate. Very knowledgeable.
My wife and I moved into a new home in Aberdeen MD in November 2017. The home had a brand new master bathroom with one shortfall; no glass door/enclosure had been installed on the large walk-in shower (the only shower in the home). As the Christmas holidays quickly approached and family would be visiting, we desperately needed this situation to be corrected. A trusted friend/local home contractor highly recommended Pamela Curry of Maryland Dream Kitchens and Baths to design and install the glass shower door/enclosure. Even though we were in the middle of the hectic holiday season, Ms. Curry quickly visited our home, assessed our needs, educated us on the various glass and framing alternatives available, and developed several door/enclosure proposals (based on functionality, materials and price). When we selected a particular course of action that fit our needs and budget, Ms. Curry expedited the fabrication and installation of our shower door/enclosure, having the installation completed before our family showed up to visit us for Christmas. The design and installation of the new glass door/enclosure was exceptional, beautifully complimenting the decor of our new bathroom. After the installation, she personally visited to insure that the job had been done correctly and to our satisfaction. Ms. Curry had an exceptional knowledge of various products and materials that comprised our bathroom and how this new door/enclosure would compliment and enhance the room. Our overall experience with Maryland Dream Kitchens and Baths was exceptional and I would recommend Ms. Curry and her company to anyone without reservation.
Door king sent out a guy named Eric to install a garage door and a entry door at my home. I was very happy with the results and would hirer them again or recommend them to anyone.
