Introduction

I have been an ESL and Portuguese teacher for more than 20 years. I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I have been living in the USA for 20 years. I've published two books on Amazon for foreigners who want to learn Brazilian Portuguese called "Tudo bem? Vamos aprender Português". The ability to make the student understand and speak a foreign language is the main focus when working as a language instructor. Conversation, grammar, reading and writing are part of a whole process to make a student feel confident and able to be fluent in a second language. Articles, videos and support material are some of the extra tools used in my class. It is great to see the students' development and how fast they can learn a foreign language when using a dynamic methodology. I have had several students of all ages, and what makes my profession so special is the ability to make them speak and write well. I work using my book, educational material such as articles and extra homework sheets, but the main focus is conversation. I've published a Portuguese book for foreigners who want to learn the language fast. It is called "Tudo bem? Vamos aprender Português" and it can be found on Amazon.
