This rate is the Quarterly (12 lessons) discount package rate of $45.00 per one hour lesson per week . The cost of this package is $540.00. This amounts to a 25% discount off the base rate of 60.00 per lesson ($240.00 every four weeks) These rates are based on advance payment, or if you can't pay the total in advance, your discount will be 15%. This brings the rate to $51.00 per one hour lesson per week. The cost of this package is $612.00. This option is payable in two installments of $306.00 with the 2nd installment being due within two weeks. All students are subject to a one-time registration fee of $30.00. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Zelle, and Cash App @ $EugeneTownsel. I'm also available for a 10 - 15 minute phone consultation to hear what your experience is, what you'd like to do, and determine what I can do to help.
As a vocal coach/teacher to professional and aspiring artists for over 40 years, Gene has used his experience as an internationally acclaimed singer and his formal training (Florida A&M University) as a vocal music major to help his students develop the tools necessary to be competitive in the industry.
Some of his more notable students are Academy Awards nominee, Margaret Avery ("Sug" Avery/Color Purple), Verdell Brown (keyboardist with Gladys Knight) and Damon Hines (Lethal Weapon) and has arranged scores for "Moesha" star, Sheryl Lee Ralph, at the beginning of her career in Japan, as well as having been instrumental in the development of many other gospel and secular artists.
Gene has had a long and successful career as a top-draw entertainer from LA and NY to Asia. He has performed with and done backup vocals for the likes of Dusty Springfield, Lou Rawls, opened for Bobby Bland, and many others. He has also done arrangements for many well-known entertainers.
Gene's studio is in Boca Raton Florida and he still performs as a solo artist and conducts singers workshops for aspiring artists.
It is very rewarding to see aspiring artists who work hard and apply themselves gain control over their voices. There is nothing like seeing an unsure nervous singer develop into a confident expressive one.

My daughter was going to an established music school and being taught by a young lady who had no teaching experience. She asked for the experienced teacher but was given the young lady anyway. She just seemed to screech out songs. We almost gave up thinking well maybe she just cant sing. Thank God we did a search voice teachers in Deerfield and found this website. My daughter went to Mr Townsel and it was amazing! He actually teaches! He described so articulately how to sing while demonstrating how to breathe correctly and suddenly her voice came out! His method of teaching is so amazing and his way of explaining to my daughter who is a little shy how to find her voice was awesome! She had lost her confidence but Mr Townsel made her feel comfortable and yet challenged her. He is excellent! We are sooo happy we found him!

The first thing that I do is to assess the challenge that is facing the aspiring singer and put together a regimen and a plan to reach their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Before becoming a professional singer I earned a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Music from Florida A&M University and additional private study from Bob Selon in Hollywood,California.
