I really enjoy helping people and math has always been something that came easy to me. I am a retired Enrolled Actuary and I also have a degree in Theoretical Physics. Math has always been a big part of my life. Even when I was studying in the University , I tutored as a side job and enjoy working with others to help them understand basic and complex principles of Mathematics. I enjoy working with both children and adults and my main tool when teaching is to try to relate the material to real life examples that my students can easily understand. It gives me a lot of pleasure when I am working together and I realize that my student understands the topic being discussed. I look forward to helping you.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge reasonable prices and try to make sure my clients feel that they get a good value for my time. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing students build confidence for their future. No matter what career someone chooses, a certain level of math prowess is always required especially for personal financial goals later in life.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I do a lot of tutoring at places like coffee shops, including Starbucks, Carmela, etc. I also sometimes go to places like Panera where they also have tables and internet. I try to have a non-threatening environment where young people can relax so we can maximize our time together. In the community where I live, there is a nice clubhouse with internet and tables that I also work out of with many of my students.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a credentialed enrolled Actuary. For those that don't really know what an Actuary is : basically, actuaries use their math skills to help solve business problems and there is a series of very difficult exams that one must pass to become an Actuary. In addition, I have a Bachelors degree in Theoretical Physics which is really a combination of Mathematics and Physics.
