FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work on a percentage that we agree upon up front. Most Public Adjusters charge 20%. I do not have a lot of overhead so I charge 15%. If the damages are caused by a named storm, by the state of Florida, we cannot charge more than 10%. I start working for free from day 1. You can pay the commission once you are paid.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We can have a phone call to determine what is the best course of action. Once we have a plan, I will meet you at your property and I will document all the damages and we can then get started with the insurance claim. If you are already in the middle of a claim, I can jump in at any time. If you had a claim and it was denied, I can reopen the claim and work to get you paid as well.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a licensed plumber for 14 years. I became a Public Adjuster in 2016 and opened my own business in 2018 after seeing how poorly the big public adjusting companies treated their clients. I am a member of F.A.P.I.A (Florida association of public insurance adjusters) and we meet twice a year to learn the latest challenges homeowners are facing against their insurance company and how we can fight back. I also receive all my continuing education credits with the state of Florida by attending many classes as well.
