It was an absolute pleasure to work with L.B. at my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. From the beginning he was friendly and quick to respond. He met with us before the event and even stayed during my daughter's rehearsal to learn exactly what we needed and how the service was going to go. L.B. has great energy and everyone enjoyed him at the Bat Mitzvah. He's friendly and personable. He did a great job working with our very big family making sure to get shots of everyone. LB Blanchard did the photography at my daughter’s wedding. He was professional and very kind. His demeanor put everyone at ease. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To keep up with digital photography you must continue to educated yourself in all the latest information. I continue to take a Photoshop class each month. I am also the President of the Lakewood Ranch Digital Photo Club with over 100 members and teach a continuing education class for members on all aspects of photography. I am also an active member of BPPA, (Bay Professional Photographer's Association) that offers continuing education for members at each meeting.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my photography involves people and making them look their absolute best in a photograph. No matter if is business headshot, a portrait or a wedding, eveyone wants to look their best. I interview my clients before taking the photo to determine how the photo will be used. Then knowing how to properly pose, properly light and finally properly retouch the person insures the photo will be the best.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advise to anyone hiring a professional photographer:
1.Is the photographer a member of a professional photographer's association or just an amateur?
2. Does the photographer have the proper equipment to do your photography: camera, lighting, Photoshop?
3. Does the photographer have a website that shows their quality of work.
4. Does the photographer's style match with what the client wants in a photograph.
