Wonderful success at all levels of Mathematics. Teacher with over 40 years of experience and am still actively teaching because I love what I do. I am available not only for the weekly lesson, but offer phone assistance when necessary or can reschedule when time allows. I really enjoy the "aah ha" moments when they occur! I also love to see the self confidence build as students begin to see the positive results for their efforts.

Mrs. Gaynor is extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. My daughter has gained both skills and confidence with every tutoring session. She feels more prepared for her precalculus tests and quizzes and has actually asked to add additional sessions to prepare for her upcoming final!

Cheryl tutored me in College Algebra and I went through many tutors before her and never really understood it but she helped me really get to the core of why I was struggling. She is very dependable and extremely flexible. She is willing to work around your schedule to make sure you understand the subject you need help in. Overall she is an awesome tutor and I highly recommend her for any of your needs.

Cheryl is a pro at tutoring... offers easy to understand strategies that effectively improve understanding. My high schooler is being tutored for SAT and ACT test taking and Cheryl was impressive from the first session. She is friendly but stays on task and gets the most out of an hour lesson. She is dependable, reliable, informative, knowledgeable, experienced and has the ability to identify the student's best way of learning and teaches to that style/need. I highly recommend Chery for any type of tutoring, she is an ultimate professional.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am both state and nationally board certified teacher in mathematics. I have taught all levels in math through College level Calculus.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I started extra tutoring when a friend asked me to help her son pass Algebra. I love the one-one experiences I've had all these years. Several students I helped from Algebra I through their high school years just because their child enjoyed our times together.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Look for someone with experience and the love of math
