If your looking for a great DJ.....look no further. Robert Burris's passion for music shows through in his work, he truly loves what he does and it shows. he will work with you in choosing songs for your wedding/reception that will make your day unforgettable and truly your own, from the wedding music to the last song. The music for our wedding was amazing all the lights and the reception was a blast, he got everyone dancing and having a great time. He is also our event coordinator it's best wedding so much fun for everyone old to young. Robert is a hands on DJ, work extra hard for the wedding making sure we everyone had wonderful time. ^_^ We can't than you enough for making our daughter's wedding an unforgettable day!

First, let me start off by saying that the party part of our wedding was a lot of fun and he played some good music and had everyone dancing on the dance floor. However, events that let up to that were quite disappointing. First, his communication wasnt there at all and is probably why the wedding didnt go as planned. My mom contacted him through email several times with no answer and had us worried that we might not have a DJ and things might not go as planned. When we met with Robert the first time, we were so excited and hopeful that he would do everything that we had wanted and anything we needed. At the ceremony I was quite upset that all the big music priorities such as our first dance, father daughter dance and ceremony music were not what we had wanted. My mom and I had typed up a very detailed agenda for the wedding day for exactly what we wanted and hoped for so im not sure what went wrong. The ceremony was supposed to have a song that my husband dedicated to me before my girls walked down the isle and that was never played instead an upbeat country song was playing instead. As much as we love country music the upbeat feel was not what we had planned for our ceremony. Then comes the first dance, he played the remix version of the song that was supposed to play and I never indicated that we wanted the remix so instead of a beautiful song to each other we slow danced to a fast remix song, I almost was in tears. Then comes the father daughter dance in which we left instructions to NOT play anything as we had a video made and my husband told him not to and instead he starts playing the song and the video wasn't even ready. Two of the same songs were playing at the same time, ruining again the feel of the moment. We also had asked if he could make a shout out for my little cousins birthday and play a special song for my mothers friend for their anniversary and that didn't happen either. Overall I am very upset that if there was just communication this wouldnt have happened. If you want a good party, hes definitely your guy but my wedding didnt go as planned. I know everyone goes through their hard times and Ive seen nothing but good reviews from him so Im not sure if this is just a bad time for him or what happened. My suggestion would just be to communicate better with your clients but I have to say that he's a likable guy and he gives a good party and knows how to get people out on the dance floor. I hope that Robert can communicate better with his clients because a lot of problems could solved just in doing so, I think hes got a lot of potential and I wish him all good things for his future.

Jordynn, Thank you very much for your honest feedback. As you you have already pointed out, this was a very difficult time for us at Just a DJ Entertainment. I apologize for the miscommunication with your songs and dances. And, that I messed up the beginning of the ceremony. As you know, I had my brother-in-law with me to help with the set up and tear down because I was on crutches just a week before. I do believe that I played the special requests for the birthday and anniversary along with the announcements, but it may have been at a time when when people were not as involved with the reception. DJ Roo was absolutely amazing. My husband and I had an amazing time, and DJ Roo played a big part in that. Not only was he an great DJ he also help us pick out songs and plan the layout of when the songs played. I will be recommending him to anyone that needs a DJ, and his prices can't be beat!

We give a valuable asset to our clients - their wishes followed. We also provide free transportation up to 75 miles (only $25 for every 50 miles extra), free set up and tear down, and up to 5 hours of music. We have just hires a new DJ in the Jacksonville area.
