Michael Perenich is a third-generation personal injury attorney, carrying forward a family legacy that began in 1955 when his grandfather, Guy Perenich, first started practicing law in Clearwater, Florida. Born in Clearwater and raised in Tarpon Springs, Michael now resides in Palm Harbor with his family.
He graduated from East Lake High School before earning a degree in Philosophy from the University of South Florida (USF). While at USF, he served as Vice President of the Philosophy Organization and was a member of the Ethics Bowl team, leading them to both regional success and advancement to the national competition.
Michael went on to attend Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, following in his father’s footsteps. During law school, he completed an internship with the Honorable Judge Robert Morris of Florida’s Second District Court of Appeals and studied abroad in Budapest, Hungary, and Istanbul, Turkey, focusing on International Transactions and Central European Legal Systems. In his third year, he studied at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he received the Honorable R. Grable Stoutamire Book Award for the highest grade in American Legal Thought, and earned distinction in Trial Practice.
Since earning his law degree in 2012, Michael has dedicated his career to litigating complex personal injury cases alongside his father. His experience includes catastrophic injury, wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice, and major motor vehicle and trucking accidents. He thrives on cases that challenge his skills, creativity, and advocacy.
Committed to ongoing growth, Michael constantly studies trial strategy, collaborates with colleagues and veteran litigators, and frequently participates in roundtable case discussions. His trial expertise has earned him recognition, including the honor of speaking at the Florida Justice Association’s prestigious Workhorse Seminar.
Beyond the courtroom, Michael enjoys an active lifestyle filled with time spent with his wife and children, traveling, wakeboarding, hiking, mountain biking, playing and coaching soccer, woodworking, gardening, racing cars, cooking, and producing music. He is also deeply involved in his community, regularly speaking at local schools during the Great American Teach-In and Law Day.
