FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every piece of furniture is unique, so the costs are too! Details like size, piping, tacks, pleating, and tufting take different amounts of time. So there are very few things with standard pricing. Our quotes are just for labor. Fabric costs will be additional, but we do offer fabric discount if you purchase fabrics through one of our vendors. (Ask us for links!) Upholstering Sofas and Sectionals is expensive. It is often cheaper to just buy new pieces. But if your sofa has sentimental value to you, it may be worth it! Armchairs, Dining Chairs, and Cushions are a lot more cost-effective. Ask us for a quote!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Send us a few photos of your furniture piece that you would like upholstered. This allows us to get you a quote and ask you about specifics you may be looking for. Along the way, feel free to ask any questions! We know that many people are not familiar with the upholstery process, so we want to bridge that gap. There are no stupid questions!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I (Alana) worked for multiple years in theatre and theme parks creating props and furniture for multiple types of performances and shows. Since then I have been a full-time upholsterer. Cody has spent most of his career in Customer Service & Maintenance based jobs. He tends to take care of structural repairs as well as provide you with top-notch service!
