I hired Total Junks Removals LLc to perform a demo and haul-to-the dump job on November 7th, 2021. Understanding that reviews establish trust with prospect customers, I only grant 1/5 star reviews if a contractor: 1. Inflicts damages from/in relation to a criminal, or grossly negligent act. 2. Acknowledges the damages. 3. Fails to fairly compensate the victim. Employee "X" stole my Google Nest Thermostat ($240). I waited for his boss (Willie) and Employee "Y" to be distant enough to engage him without the need to expose or cause him unnecessary embarrassment. I cheekily asked if he had removed the thermostat cover to place it somewhere safe to prevent the falling debris from damaging it. He exclaimed with a friendly smile,"I got you buddy..." and nodded, "let me finish here first and I got you," as he removed the metallic ductwork. As they were getting ready to leave, Willie stayed to collect payment while the employees waited outside. I did not see the Google Nest Thermostat anywhere. I asked Willie for it, and he opened the front door to find employee Y standing nearby. Willie asked him as he came inside, but I already knew he wouldn't know. He seemed confused. I informed them I had requested the cover from Employee X; and even lied on his behalf (in case he had forgotten to return it) by stating he had removed it and placed it in a safe location so that the debris wouldn't fall on it. When Employee Y called Employee X inside, Willie asked him in Creole. At first he reacted as if he had not understood what I had asked him the first time; he proceeded to pretend not know what a Google Nest was; and then acted as if he did not know I was asking about the Thermostat cover itself. Employee's X histrionics were so suspicious that even Willie, his boss, seemed convinced he had stolen it. I remained calm and still acquiesced to pay the entire agreed-upon $1,000 to Willie; and he, in turn, with a disillusioned look on his face, apologized and credited $100. I am still $140 short; and the lackluster work performed by the thief will require additional capital to finish entirely. Despite stating he would email me an invoice when he arrived home, Willie did not; and proceeded to ignore my calls and texts reminding him to send one. I called Leonard two days later, who answered my call and asked for my email address. Based on Leonard's tone, which was very different from when I spoke to him before his employee had stolen from me, I assumed he wouldn't email me the invoice after we hung up. Having reminded them over several unanswered texts, sadly I was right.

I sent you pictures of the five pieces that had to be moved out. They were not heavy. You said $300 for all. And then when you arrived you said $500. If I didn’t need it removed that day because furniture was coming I would of turned you away. Very unprofessional!

Total Junks Removals and Demolition's reply
I am sorry about you being unhappy about our services. You had 5 big sofas, 2 other large items plus other miscellaneous stuff which more than half-filled the dump truck. We gave you a minimum price based upon pictures you sent. However, the crew determined $500 was a just price for the amount stuff you had to be hauled and dumped. I assure you that there was no malintention on our part. Again, I am sorry. Thanks for your business
