Introduction: I have been practicing the science of Yoga since 2004. I was initiated into the Himalayan tradition/lineage of the Himalayan Institute completing my training in early 2011. I have practiced and studied with a handful of renowned teachers such as: Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD author of many books including the best-selling At the Eleventh Hour who is the successor of Swami Rama of the Himalayas founder of the Himalayan Institute; Rolf Sovik, PsyD author of Moving Inward, co-author of the award-winning Yoga: Mastering the Basics; Sandra Anderson a senior editor for Yoga International magazine; Carrie E. Demers, MD a specialist in holistic health and Ayurveda; Greg Capitolo, Shari Friedrichsen, Sara Goddard, James Slim Miles, and many others.
I received my Bachelor of Liberal Arts at The University of Mississippi with a degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy. Completing my Internship in 2010 with The National Center for Natural Product Research (NCNPR), I covered topics such as Science Behind Ayurveda and Ayurveda: Discovery of Interdependence Between the Physical, Astral and Causal. It led me to a spot with in the South Eastern Conference (SEC) network highlighting my chosen carrier path. The documentary aired in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Once I learned that the body-mind can be defined as a regulatory process, then I had this beautiful invitation to awaken peoples minds and hearts by deepening and strengthening their own ability and mindful flexibility to observe the flow of energy information in their bodies just like I did! Even beyond, when I learned to observe energy information found in the mind-body, I learned to regulate and to modify it. They too can do the same. All of this lead me to greater awareness, a happier existence, and a joy undermined by nothing. With this self-knowledge and understanding, I can apply the same principle to my teachings. This is the best part about my JOB!
