- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a phone consultation where I discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have. If we are a good fit for working together, then I set up your appointment. If you need massage beyond my field of practice, I will gladly refer you out to another qualified therapist. When I arrive to your home for the first time, you fill out a brief intake and consent form. A few days after the appointment, you will receive a call or text checking in on you and how you feel after the massage or healing session as well as a follow up email.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My favorite techniques to use are Swedish flow, Prenatal massage, Reiki, aromatherapy, hot stone foot massage, chakra balancing, the Seven Healing Rays and meditation. I have training in aromatherapy, Swedish & Deep Tissue massage, reflexology foot massage techniques, chair massage, and assisted stretching. I am certified in Prenatal and Post Partum Massage, Hot Bamboo Fusion massage and Usui Reiki Energy Healing. In 2014, I was trained as a Certified Angel Card reader by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D. In 2015, I happily completed a year long training for certification in the Seven Healing Rays, an energetic technique that creates light speed healing for the mind, body & spirit of my clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My whole life, I've always been comforted by the healing power of touch. After college, I explored some corporate jobs, following the path I thought I was supposed to be on. I tried to find my niche and just never felt I fit anywhere. When the economy crashed in 2008 and I was downsized at my job, I rethought my career path and realized I had to do something more meaningful. I decided to check out massage therapy. I found an amazing massage school that nurtured intuition and technique side by side and I was blown away by the call to join the profession. Since then, I've been hooked on making a positive difference in my client's lives every day.
