I had initially contacted Apple regarding clearing a phone. They decided to run updates to my 5 year old computer that was in stellar shape. After 4 hours, my computer was completely ruined with all data lost. This was a computer hardly ever used as I prefer my iPad and work a lot of hours. Multiple calls and contacts were made to apple. No one could help. I found Emilio (Apple Tek Guru) online and decided to give him a chance. At least he comes out. To my delight and surprise; he was absolutely amazing, has an impressive vita with many high end companies in NYC, has excellent customer services skills, is patient, and HIGHLY COMPETENT. He diagnosed the problem. My hard drive was damaged beyond repair with all data wiped. Emilio took my computer home and worked on it all night. He brought it back as a brand new computer loaded with the latest software. He even installed word and other programs I need. He is not cheap, however, my problem was far from simple. It was like re-building from scratch. I will hire him again. I give him my highest recommendation!!! Ps. I'm a private practice psychotherapist and I am not associated with this gentleman or thumbtack in any manner. Cheers!!!!

Needed a new hard drive for my late 2013 iMac. This is not an easy job and one of the other repair places told me to just take it to Apple because of the difficulty. A few others said they could do it and were less expensive but I decided to go with the certified Apple tech and I'm glad I did. There are a number of issues with replacing a HD in this model and Emilio seemed to be aware of them and assured me he would take care of them and reminded me that everything had a one year warranty. He also came to my house and picked up the computer and also dropped it off. Seeing as I live about 40 miles away, this was an incredible service.
