Dan and his assistant Alexandra did everything we asked of them. they made the party get off to great start and continued throughout the evening. They were in tune with our guests and played every request they were given. If you just need a DJ call another one, but if you want a DJ that knows what he is doing then call Dr. D.J. Paulish. Dr. Dan is a consummate professional. He was one of over a dozen DJs we considered to provide MC and DJ services for my high school class 40 year reunion. We reviewed his credentials (the only one with a PhD in Electrical Engineering) and compared his experience and reviews with the others and he came out at the top of the list. The best part is that he was also the most reasonably priced of the group. Months before the event, Dr. Dan met personally as well as corresponded with the committee to formulate a plan. He visited the venue and took careful notes about its features, the type of music we wanted, the special recognition segments, and offered very valuable suggestions drawn from his years of experience. His equipment and music library is top notch and he has music for any kind of event. On the day of the event, Dr. Dan showed up an hour and fifteen minutes early to set up the equipment and do the sound checks. That evening, he brought along a trainee, Amanda, a lovely young lady, who assisted him throughout the event. Amanda had not originally been part of the contract with us; however, he asked for permission before bringing her and did not charge us an additional fee. Dr. Dan followed the plan as closely as possible and adjusted it according to our requests. During the event, situations arose and he quickly and seamlessly adapted to the changes. As an example, we had a classmate who fancied himself a standup comic and proceeded, with the committee's reluctant approval; to launch into an obscenity laced routine that was inappropriate and uncomfortable. Dr. Dan, sensing the change in the attitude of the party, politely yet assertively, regained control of the microphone and actually asked the audience to give the "comic" a hand as he escorted him off the stage. He stepped in and saved what could have been a potentially catastrophic situation. He was in constant communication with the committee throughout the evening (at our request) to make sure everything was going the way we wanted. Thanks to Dr. Dan, the event was an enormous success and the venue owner had to practically kick us out because nobody wanted to leave. I cannot adequately express how grateful we are for Dr. Dans professionalism but most importantly, he is a sincerely nice guy. It was a pleasure working with him and I highly recommend him.
