Introduction: I believe in "Keeping Internet Solutions Simple" by creating user-friendly, easy to navigate, professionally designed websites. I also train clients on how to edit their own site either at my training center in Fort Myers or at their business locations. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system for web design is complicated in that it truly depends on how big the project is, how much extra functionality is needed (eg. eCommerce, eLearning, membership site, etc.), whether or not social media accounts need to be set up, is Internet marketing needed (beyond just basic SEO), and more.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly reading text books, trade magazines, watching paid tutorials online, and attend conferences at least once or twice per year to stay up with this ever-evolving field of website design and social media networking. There are no requirements in the field, but I always want to stay on the cutting-edge.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a separate career as an eye doctor, but have ALWAYS loved computers and design. I finally decided to follow my passion and become a web designer when a series of personal tragedies took place and I realized life is just too short.
