I have moved 9 out of the past 10 years, including local and international moves and this was undoubtedly my worst moving experience. It took 6.5 hours for the first half of my move (a 2 bdr apartment) and a number of items were broken. The second set of movers who unloaded my items expressed themselves that they were shocked at how poorly the first job was done. I was counseled by FVMS against obtaining 3rd party insurance which was a big mistake. The "family values" are only present when they're trying to obtain your business. The third mover often does not help as he is busy on phone with front office who continually call and try to eke out an extra hour. This company is in short: inefficient, substandard, dishonest and should be avoided. Use them if you like the same service and scruples you'd expect from a used car salesman.

I agree with the first reviewer! I've moved four times out of the past six years. The "family values" are only present when they're trying to obtain your business. Robert Cardinez is a classic case of Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde. Customer service goes out the window once they have confirmed your business. In the end, their only concern is to make money, they could careless about customer service. They arrived 3 hours outside of the initial time they gave us. Took twice the amount of time promised and after driving three hours to meet them at the new address, they postponed the unloading until the next morning due to their mistakes. They made no concessions for the inconvenice they caused us. Hire with caution!

We are terribly saddened that this move did not go as you anticipated. We go to extreme measures to satisfy every one of our customers. We do over 800 Moves anually and unfortunately statistics show when you do a great job for a client its very seldom they will leave a positive review but if something doesn't go as planned there will be an entire book written to bash the company by any means necessary. We have tried to resolve any issues with you several times and are very sorry you are still unhappy as things like this are very rare and sadden our family tremendously. If ever you are looking to accommodate a budget in the future it would highly recommended that you accept the in-home estimate that we offered and was turned down because as it is incredibly hard to estimate a time of an entire move over the phone.

This moving company is horrible!
We are new to the South Florida area and we had to rent when we first got here. We since then bought a house and had to put our things in storage while we waited for our new house to be remodeled. When our new house was ready, we called Family Values Moving to move our things from the storage unit into the house. It took them 3 hours to load our things onto the truck which seemed a little odd but I thought, ok they're being really careful, no big deal.
When we got to the house the moving guys had to call the office to get the final price that I would have to pay them. The guy at the office gave them the final quote, and then left for over an hour. I'd told them I wanted to pay via credit card but because the office guy had left, they told me they couldn't start unloading the truck until he took the payment and asked me to go get cash so they could start. I went to get the cash and to get food to eat for my daughter, and went I got back they were finished (pretty ironic since it took them three hours to load the truck, and only took them about 45 minutes to unload it). To my horror I discovered they had scratched every single piece of bedroom furniture we had. My brand new cherry wood dresser and chest of drawers had scratches and nicks along the entire top surfaces, and both of my daughter's brand new white dressers had scratches along the front and top surfaces. I was absolutely livid when I discovered they had dropped one of the boxes marked fragile - four bone china bowls my grandmother left to me were broken.
My husband called the office to complain about the scratched furniture and the broken dishes, and the office guy was so nasty to him it was unreal! He had the nerve to say they don't insure items that have already been packed because most customers don't know how to pack their own things (what???!!) I don't know about other customers, but my husband used to work for a moving company and I can assure you none of my grandmother's china was broken before these movers touched it. Furthermore, all of the furniture was brand new (less that 6 months in our possession) and there were NO scratches on any of it before these guys destroyed it. Because of their negligence and complete incompetence, we now have to pay to have BRAND NEW furniture restored.
If you have valuables or expensive furniture that you want to be treated with care and respect, DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!! Also, they took advantage of the fact that my husband was not there. I don't know the ins and outs of moving companies and I trusted them to deliver the service they promised. I'm sure if my husband didn't have to work and had been there, the outcome would have been completely different.
PLEASE BEWARE - THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!!!

My move with FVMS I must say was the best move I could make. All employees were very professional, all items were taken well care off and delivered as they were received. Move was timely and very economical cost wise compared to some other business`s I've used in the past. I have to disagree firmly with the review I just read by Ashley F sounds to me like you are confused or mistaken you sure you didn't move using All my son`s moving and storage because the service you are mentioning is far more better then the way All My Son`s moved me in 2006

The worst moving company I had encountered with.
Broken and scratched furniture, along with missing items and extremely high price.
Over the phone they all nice and friendly but in reality rude crew with truck full of garbage. STAY AWAY!!!
