Juniors Program Lil Lion program is a class intended for 3-5 year old children. It will help to introduce the discipline and structure of a martial arts class while providing a fun filled environment for our little ones to enjoy and learn self defense. At Quest Kids, our main focus in the Lil Lion class is to build confidence. We want to see our little ones to come out of their shells. Founded in 1980 in Plantation, Florida by Shihan Robert Mason, the American International Karate Institute, a.k.a. the University Karate Center, was established to further the personal growth and development of students of all ages. The MuDoKai curriculum that we teach uses the Martial Arts as the medium for practice. Utilizing vigorous training for physical development of Martial Arts skills, we train our bodies. By training with correct breathing techniques, we develop and achieve emotional balance. Through the use of visualization and perceptual awareness, we acquire and practice mental clarity and self-control. This training, when practiced consistently, leads to the accomplishment of self-mastery, the goal of our Martial Arts.
I offer personal training. I have been a certified personal trainer since 1997 by AFAA and by the Wingate Institute, Israel since 1987. I was a military fitness instructor and a martial arts instructor of Krav Maga, aka contact combat, training special units, which are only men, from 1986 to 1988 in the I.D.F. I owned a gym and two dance studios in Tel Aviv, Israel, teaching one-on-one personal training, as well as group classes until I came to the USA in 1995. I resumed group fitness instruction in 1997 at Equinox, at 19th St, 63rd St, 92nd St and 54th St, Chelsey Piers, and Crunch at 54th St. I brought Krav Maga-style kickboxing classes and belly dance classes for fitness to the Gyms in NYC, and from there, my career took off. I was featured in Time Out magazine, NY Times' science section and sunday styles section twice, Vogue, Elle, Shape, Sportsfile and the New york Post twice, On TV, I have been featured on Channel 1 NY, 7, and 12 in Fitness California.
