FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My usual rate is $40 per hour. I consider the first lesson as a trial lesson!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My goal working with a new customer is to get an understanding of the customer's goals for their development, whether it be in sound, technique, vocabulary, or style. Then I will work with them to create a lesson plan that caters to what they want to achieve.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had the fortunate experience to gig around my hometown Miami, FL in different contexts, including brass band, big band, jazz trio, Latin jazz, and commercial pop. I hope to be able to give my experience playing in these varied contexts to inform the student on whatever genre or style of music they want to learn. Along with that, I am a current undergraduate student at the Wertheim Performing Arts Center in Florida International University with a major in Jazz Performance. As a part of this program, I have had the honor to study with multiple Grammy-nominated musicians, who have shared the stage with the likes of Eldar Djangirov, Chris Potter, Richard Bona, Gonzalo Rubelcaba, Paquito D Rivera,Grace Kelly, and Joshua Nelson. As a student, I hope to be able to share what I have learned so far from their vast experience and knowledge.
