FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At 21 Ocean Builders, we believe in transparent, fair pricing — no surprises, no hidden fees. Every project is a little different, so we typically offer custom quotes based on the scope of work, materials, and timeline. We offer: Free estimates Bundle discounts for multiple projects booked together Military and senior discounts (just ask!) No charge for minor adjustments or punch list items that come up during a job — we want you completely satisfied. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with 21 Ocean Builders is straightforward, honest, and organized. Here’s what you can expect: Initial Contact & Discovery We’ll start with a quick call or message to talk about your project, timeline, and goals. I’ll ask questions, listen closely, and get a sense of what you’re looking for. On-Site Estimate If it’s a good fit, I’ll come out (free of charge) to see the space, take measurements, and walk through the details with you. You’ll get a written estimate shortly after — clear, detailed, and with no hidden costs. Scheduling & Prep Once you approve the quote, we’ll lock in a start date and go over logistics like materials, access to the space, and any prep you might need to do. I’ll also let you know what to expect each day of the job. Execution I’ll show up on time, work clean, communicate daily, and make sure every step meets our quality standards. You’ll never be left guessing. Final Walkthrough & Follow-Up Before wrapping up, we’ll walk the job together to make sure everything is done right and up to your expectations. If anything needs adjusting, we’ll take care of it quickly. I’ll also check in a few days later to make sure everything’s still looking good. That’s how we build trust — and why most of our clients end up calling us back for their next project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been in the building and remodeling industry for over 12 years, and during that time, I’ve gained hands-on experience across a wide range of trades — from framing and finish carpentry to drywall, tile, and full-scale renovations. I completed a formal apprenticeship in residential construction, where I learned the foundations of structural work, safety, and code compliance. I’ve taken specialized training in tile setting, waterproofing, and cabinet installation, and I stay up to date with the latest building materials and techniques. I also hold any required state licenses and insurance, and I’ve completed OSHA safety certification to ensure every job site is run professionally and safely. But honestly, the best training has come from years in the field, learning what works, what doesn’t, and how to deliver clean, lasting results — job after job.
