Why Prep by PAT? Short Answer: We are test preparation experts! While what happens in the classroom is important, each student's performance on her or his end-of-year exam is most vital at any level of academic success. Long Answer: Over more than 17 years, Patrick has amassed his instructional techniques and test-taking strategies from his experience working with some notable brands such as Sylvan Learning, Club Z In-home Tutoring, Tutor Doctor, National Academic Educational Partners and Educational Development Associates to name a few. By focusing on both, what happens in the classroom and what is expected on end-of-year exams or college entrance exams (i.e., ACT, PERT, SAT, etc.), our commitment stems well outside of what happens in a traditional classroom setting. ​Our mission is simple: To provide an educational experience that is far-reaching beyond that of the classroom. Prep by PAT uses its own instructional methods to bridge the gap between classroom instruction and test preparation. Our Threshold for SuccessTM offers a "quick assess" or diagnosis of those opportunities that may yet to be realized from previous scores or performance reports, or from a short assessment of 5 or 10 questions per subject area. Our 50-50 Elimination StrategyTM enables our students to quickly eliminate two or more multiple choice options, which narrows the remaining choices down to one or two "most likely" options from the four or five available choices. Lastly, our Know The Game Being Played StrategyTM provides students with key insights of testing or those tools that inform them of what is expected of them while completing any standardized test. Prep by Performance at the Top (PAT) Enterprises, LLC offers in-home, one-to-one instruction in reading, English, math, social sciences and writing, small and large group instruction in ACT and SAT test preparation, and much more. Our NEW Prep by PAT Reward Shop (powered by TokenRewards.com) provides rewards or prizes to "incentivize" its enrolled students by assigning points for their completion of those ongoing recommended, reinforcement activities that are related to those skills or concepts being taught in school, which are being reinforced or retaught by Prep by PAT tutors. These activities are intended to be completed during each student's leisure time outside of tutoring. Although no deadlines are usually set for completion, this rewards program is designed to motivate students to earn points to later be exchanged for desired rewards or prizes. There are no additional costs incurred by those families that are currently enrolled in Prep by PAT services. Prep by PAT specializes in test preparation for students from Pre-K through collegiate graduate-level, which includes but is not limited to test-taking strategies in the following: ACT, CLAST, FCAT, Florida Standards Assessment, General Knowledge, Praxis, SAT, and others. The gratification from assisting students with obtaining their desired testing scores, so that they may matriculate onto the next grade level, colleges or universities, or next phases of life.
