- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Never make a decision regarding a property inspection based on price alone. Remember value is what you get and price is what you pay! You want to make sure and ask the inspector about his or her qualifications and how long they have been in business. Look at their website and check their referrals.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
As for the profession as a whole, there are certain misconceptions about property inspections that is important for the public to know. First, when we are called to perform an inspection by our clients (buyers), that is exactly who we work for, the buyer! We are not as some may have heard in error, deal killers. We are unbiased, highly trained, skilled and professional. I believe I have just answered the question pertaining to myself. I as a person and as a professional property inspector, like to believe I demonstrate those qualities in every transaction I am involved in.
