My experience with Dr. Kowalski has been immensely positive. My visits were curtailed to a specific need and his plan of action has resulted in success as we will welcome a healthy and perfect baby in August 2020. Most importantly, different from some/most conventional doctor visits, Dr. Michael gave me the time and listened during my first consultation, and many other appointments. That alone was something so needed. There is a place for science and conventional medicine and there is a much needed place for holistic healthcare as well. I feel more in tune with my body and trusting of my own research and intuition. Those facts accompanied with Dr. Micheal's approach and acupuncture treatment, I feel my best yet.

Dr. Michael is simply the best there is. I don't take giving recommendations lightly, so when I say Dr. Michael is excellent I mean it wholeheartedly. First of all, his wealth of knowledge is remarkable and really comforting. Trust me, I have talked to many acupuncturists and they did not go to the best schools and they have only been in practice a few years. Dr. Michael earned his undergraduate degree from Yale and then studied 5 Element acupuncture for seven years with the one and only J.R. Worsley at the College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, England. He earned TWO post-graduate degrees! The man knows his stuff! Since 1984 he has been practicing so I think he is the longest practicing acupuncturist in Jacksonville. Okay so those are Dr. Michael's credentials, but let me tell you about the practitioner. Never before have I had such a kind, considerate, caring, devoted healthcare practitioner. Dr. Michael sits down with you and truly listens to what is ailing you. He doesn't rush you. He is not arrogant in his answers and he really collaborates with you in finding solutions to your issues- both with acupuncture and sometimes with nutrition. His touch is gentle and his demeanor is simply lovely. I call him a gentle giant and that fits him perfectly. In my opinion, there is no better acupuncturist in Jacksonville and even if I lived out of the city, I would still come here just to see him. He has helped me with back pain, pulled muscles so that I was ready for tennis tournaments in time, anxiety, and issues stemming from Dystonia. Each and every time, I feel better after seeing him. Sometimes it takes a few sessions, but I always feel better. Thank you Dr. Michael for all you do for me and all of your patients!

Dr. Michael is an excellent Acupuncture Physician who practices the Five Element theory. He’s such a great listener and really cares about your individual needs as a patient. His treatments are very effective and he focuses on finding the root cause of your symptoms and not just treating the symptoms themselves. Treatments are also very Holistic touching on mind, body and spirit and leaving you feeling much more balanced and well overall. Definitely recommend!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
90-minute Initial Consultation and first treatment = $180 45 minute Acupuncture Treatment or Functional Medicine visit = $100 We accept all insurances that cover acupuncture, and offer discounts based on other plans
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Simply call our office to schedule your initial consultation and first treatment. We will take great care of you from there! A typical course of treatment is 10 acupuncture sessions: twice weekly for a couple of weeks, then once per week. After you achieve your health goals, monthly maintenance treatment is a great way to continue to feel your best!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After graduating from Yale University, Dr. Michael Kowalski A.P., Dipl. Ac. earned 2 professional degrees in Five Element acupuncture, training with Professor JR Worsley. Dr. Michael is NCCAOM National Board Certified, and founded the Acupuncture & Holistic Health Center in Jacksonville in 1988.
