After the destruction from two powerful hurricanes, Matthew andIrma, my roof was in need of serious repair or replacement. When my attempts to patch up the several leaks with asphalt based sealants failed and the leaks became more widespread and frequent, I interviewed several roofing contractors as to my options and the costs involved, settling upon StormGuard and Bram because of the no-nonsense, honest, straightforward professional approach he conducted himself and presented my several available material options and related accessories. Although Bram estimated that the project from start to finish could be finished in one day, because of difficulties in removing the 3 layers of shingles and the old felt paper, and the removal and replacement of decayed wood rafters and decking, the work took 3 full days. On top of that, when the old rolled roofing was removed from above my bathroom, the ceiling collapsed, leaving a enormous hole in the structure and thick piles of debris throughout the bathroom, covering nearly except the bathtub. Bram kept me informed each and every step of the way, pointing out the ease and the extremely difficult parts of replacing my roof. The courtesy and professional care that Bram and each and every member of his crew exceeded my expectations by a very long shot, even though working in the near triple-digits heat and frequent thunderstorms. The StormGuard team arrived each day prior to the agreed-upon start time and started industriously at 7am, the appointed time and remained consistent until either the weather or darkness prevented going further, an unbelievable sense of dedication and service to me, the customer. Bram, the contractor worked with me regarding the extra expenses in completing the roofing project, knowing that I am on limited income and had no homeowners insurance coverage for such situations as this. I highly recommend StormGuard for anything having to do with a roof, without being high-pressured like dealing with some sleazy used car salesman.
