Introduction: My approach to my clients is eclectic, client-centered, and multicultural based on thirty years experience working with child and adolescent and adult populations after Directing the model Therapeutic Day Treatment Program for adolescents for the state of Florida. Later, I was the first and only Behavioral Therapist for Palm Beach County Schools. Those roles and my experience as the Coordinator of Psychologist and Preschool Specialists in Santa Barbara, California and all my wonderful years of providing counseling during and after these roles have given me the insight, perception, patience, and caring to provide the best plan of treatment for my clients to feel better about themselves and potential in life. My clients leave me because they are happy, well, and ready to stand on their own. They have found the answer to their problems and solutions to resolve them.
Whether it be a child or an adult, although it is also especially rewarding with a teenager, it is when I observe that "ah-ha" moment of clarity in my client's thought pattern and/or behavior and we realize he/she has reached a turning point in therapy and a self-discovery moment has occurred through our work that has provided the courage and motivation needed to move to the final step. It is why I do what I do.
