Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: ACT and SAT are constantly tweaking their tests, so it's imperative to stay relevant. My students' results are unparalleled in part because I use actual past ACT/SAT/PSAT tests. I expect my students to actually learn the material and not "trick the test". No amount of 'eat your Wheaties' or 'start with C' will significantly improve your score or enable you to gain admission to a top college. The beauty of this cold truth is that my students leave for college with a strong foundation. I love watching students blossom as they gain confidence. They go from embarrassed about their scores to knowing they are smart and applying themselves in other areas of school.

My personal experience with Ginny's tutoring services are second to none. From my first tutoring session with Ginny I knew how valuable my time with her would be. Ginny is undeniably intelligent and methodical but she is also very relatable and easy to get along with. I had no problem clicking with Ginny and that means a lot to me because if I'm not comfortable in an environment then it makes it much harder for me to learn. In my first couple of months tutoring with her my ACT score went up four points and within four more months my ACT score went up two more points. From talking to friends and other people in my high school I learned that going up 6 points on your ACT score is quite rare. I'm so thankful for Ginny and the knowledge I have acquired from her. Thanks to Ginny I received a generous scholarship to the college I wanted to attend and I am currently completely content at college and forever thankful for Ginny.

I worked with Gin on a weekly-basis for two years. She helped me prepare for the PSAT, ACT, and SAT IIs and also served as an advisor to me as I completed my college applications. Gin is a versatile and highly skilled tutor. She is equally comfortable explaining mathematical principles, grammatical conventions, and reading comprehension strategies. Her instruction enabled me to improve my ACT score by six points and also earn a 99th percentile SAT II score. In addition, Gin is well-versed in the nuances of elite college admissions. I consider her guidance in this arena to be one of the key factors that allowed me to gain admission to Brown University. More than just an adept teacher or shrewd counsel, though, Gin is a caring friend and mentor, who sincerely cares about her students' futures. I am very grateful for the time we spent working together. She has my highest recommendation!

31!!! Our daughter had a 26 on her ACT before she was tutored by Ginny. Due to the individualized plan and test-taking advice from Ginny, our daughter moved up to a 29, and then a 31. We loved the thorough and detailed analysis Ginny provided on the learning style and potential of our daughter. She really ushered us through the entire ACT ordeal, even up to the day of the test. Also Ginny taught our daughter how to work smarter, not harder, about preparations and execution. She definitely books up quickly so my advice is to call her as soon as you know your child is ready for tutoring.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Some tutors do better with different score ranges. Some tutors can help people get into college but stall with higher scores. If you have a higher score, be sure that you ask how many people your prospective tutor has worked with in that range and her results.
