FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge a 50% retainer upfront, with the remaining 50% due when I have finished the project. I am very flexible with payment terms and wish to always make payment an easy process for my clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Over the past 11 years, I have honed in what I refer to as my Web Production Process. You can read about this process in detail on my website (under the about page on my website's main menu; Thumbtack won't let me link to the page). Working with a new customer starts out with Discovery. During this stage, I work to get to know you, your business, and the project. We'll discuss the project and develop a scope. Depending upon the size of the project, we may work on a competitive analysis or other similar documents in order to better plan the project. Once we have a solid plan, we'll both sign an agreement and kick off the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education is crucial in the technology field, especially due to the fact that this industry experiences exponential growth year after year. Fortunately for me, the college I attended allows me to return and retake any class again for the rest of my life. In addition, I keep up with the industry via multiple newsletters and blogs, as well as various continuing education websites. However, the mere fact of working in the industry on a daily basis serves to provide a great wealth of continuing education.
