⭐ Honest Review of Jadon Smith – Cheapo Premier Painting My original painting project was quoted at $3,600. I initially hired a company called Waterside Painting, managed by Anderson, but unfortunately, he failed to fulfill the contract and left my property damaged and the job incomplete. Out of frustration and urgency, I turned to Jadon Smith from Cheapo Premier Painting, whom I had previously passed over. I explained the situation to him directly, along with my son, and we discussed everything that needed to be corrected—from unfinished paintwork, damaged areas, to cleaning up sloppy work from the previous contractor. Jadon agreed to: Repaint poorly painted areas and improve overall quality Clean paint splatters (including paint on my security cameras, grounds,walls,bars and windows) Correct mismatched colors and repaint necessary areas Seal and grout areas as needed, and correct wood work. Bring in a crew to assist and not work solo Use proper tools and materials to complete the job professionally What Actually Happened: Day 1: Jadon arrived with two workers (Himself and another man). They began prepping the area and seemed to be on the right track, verifying paint colors and protecting surfaces. Day 2 and onward: Jadon returned alone, bringing only 1-gallon buckets of paint and working with brushes and rollers—not ideal for exterior work. He didn’t bring a paint sprayer, which I had to recommend myself. The paint job was uneven, and it became clear that the tools and techniques he was using were more suited to interior work. Despite his initial promises, Jadon did not: Finish painting the bar or complete touch-ups to my liking Fix and paint the bottom of the back porch Match or correct the roof paint overspray in some areas Finish the project to the agreed-upon quality Return to complete the job after saying he’d “get back with me” It felt like once he picked up another job, my project became secondary. Communication dropped off, and the level of commitment he showed at the beginning completely disappeared. Final Thoughts: Jadon is a genuinely kind and respectful person. His attitude and presence are professional and likable. However, being a good person does not make up for poor execution and unmet promises—especially when thousands of dollars are involved. If you’re considering hiring Cheapo Premier Painting, here is my advice: ✅ Yes, consider Jadon for interior work only, where his tools, materials, and approach seem better suited. ❌ No, I do not recommend him for exterior painting or large-scale projects. He did not have the equipment, crew, or follow-through needed to deliver professional-quality results outside. Before hiring, ask to see his tools—especially whether he has sprayers, adequate paint (in 5-gallon buckets), proper masking/covering materials, and a crew to support him. I am now left with unfinished work, a disappointing result, and am devastated by the amount of money lost between two failed contractors from Thumbtack. I hope this review helps someone else avoid going through what I did. Please do your due diligence and ensure the contractor you hire is fully prepared for the job—inside or out. These contractors need to stop asking for money before the project. Show us pictures. Some of these reviews don’t add up after the work I received.
