- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $30 per hour for all of my services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by having the customer explain the reason that they are seeking a tutor. Then we look at any study materials that the student may have brought to the session. This may include textbooks, present and past homework assignments, prior tests and reviews for upcoming tests. The student will explain and demonstrate from this material why they need the tutoring. I will then begin to plan a series of lessons based on the information that the student has provided.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend continuing education experiences on a regular basis. Each of my 3 employers require a minimum of 12 hours per year (36 hours) of webinars, seminars and meetings. Subjects range from improving teaching practices, classroom management, tutoring techniques, dealing with disabled students, among others.
